Meet Stephanie (Стефанi): ....and while you're at it, meet kari_jo_0728, she's my complete opposite friend, so if I'm too subtle, you're sure to love her :)

I know it's not new, but it's new to me since I just discovered it, but I ♥ love ♥ this song by Imogen Heap ( Headlock ) .....Awesome!

I am a believer of everything happening for a reason and all is meant to be, good or bad....it's all part of the master plan that we play part in everyday. Things that are out of the ordinary appeal to me: the supernatural, afterlife, reincarnation, spirits/ghosts, ET's...normal has a tendency to become drab. More recently I am on a quest to acquire lucid dreams (not as easy as I'd hoped), Dream Views is a wonderful site that has provided fantastic information for beginners and pros. I'm a very open-minded, laid back person (as everyone on here is). I am freedom loving and enjoy meeting like-minded people. I prefer a sweet red wine, cuddling, reading, writing poetry, photography a fun and competitive site to check out is SOA Photo you can submit photos in their monthly contests for the chance to win a camera (good luck) and have your photos critiqued all for free, horror movies (but pretty much any movies except corny comedy), listening to music (but really, who doesn't). I enjoy being outdoors taking hikes and being near water, likewise I also very much enjoy my time indoors, recharging my batteries after a draining day and need someone who can compliment and basque in those elements with me. A shaved head and no facial hair appeals to me, as well as someone who can maintain communication. I need someone who is a bit more outgoing than I to compliment my shy nature. Someone who is compassionate, has a soft side, but can take charge when necessary. Right now just testing the waters, and eventually I hope to find a special someone just for me... hopefully my somewhat hippy-ish second half ;) .... so until I find him, for now I'm just trying to get the most from the journey of exploration, conversation and new experiences which will hopefully lead me to that person.

FYI: If I don't respond to a message or an IM it could be for one of a few reasons. Either I'm just not interested, I'm chatting with someone else at that moment and I like to give my full attention to one person at a time, or I'm just not interested. In any case, right now the only thing I'm looking for is a friend and maybe something that could eventually have the potential of being a long-term relationship.

I am Astrologic, Poetic, Sensitive, Intuitive, and Perceptive
What I’m doing with my life
Currently I am stationed at Mountain Home AFB in Idaho (hoping to get deployed). I just passed my National Registry exam for EMT so my "official" title is a Combat Medic. After upgrade training I plan to cross train and possibly go to school full time for Radiology. No matter what I hope to retire in Amsterdam or Japan someday (but who knows where the future will decide to take me ;)....18 years to go!
I’m really good at
Writing poetry, caring for others, listening to the woes of friends, and being goofy (if you catch me at the right time). Making homemade French toast. Speaking so articulately when intoxicated. Social perceptiveness and reading the body language of others. I'm a people watcher, an observer and I'm usually very in tune with any environment I'm in and picking up on the surrounding vibes.
The first things people usually notice about me
That I'm always smiling and that I love to laugh. I'm told that I'm a great listener and people usually come to me for advice. I've also been told that I seem to always be so relaxed and at ease (although it's usually the opposite on the inside), and that walk with a calm unhurried pace.....other than that I dunno, what did you notice?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
One of my favorite books is by Truman Capote called In Cold Blood, my second fav is by Andre Dubus III titled The House of Sand and Fog (lent that to a friend...still waiting for it back).

***If you like Free and you like Movies, then you'll love this site: Click for Flicks***

As far as movies, I loved Sweet November, anything horror (especially old classic horror films) or mysterious, (updating...going to delve a little deeper) Stand By Me, The Omen, Taxi Driver, Wizard of Oz, American Beauty, Keane, Pulp Fiction, The Goonies, Night of the Living Dead, The Green Mile, City of Angels, He Was a Quiet Man, Dawn of the Dead, Return to Oz, The NeverEnding Story, Legend, Sin City, Dead Birds, Devil's Advocate, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, Rocky Horror Picture Show, City of God, Children of Men, The Ring, Donnie Darko, Dazed and Confused, Mulholland Dr., Stigmata, The Secret Window, Office Space, Mall Rats, Walk the Line, Keep the River on the Right, The Lost Boys, Storm of the Century, From Hell, The Cell, The Village, House on Haunted Hill, Rosemary's Baby, Summer of Sam, 30 Days of Night, Clerks, Idle Hands, Drugstore Cowboy, Barbarella: Queen of the Galaxy, All of the Indiana Jones, Seven, The Matrix, The Fifth Element, The Sixth Sense, Armageddon, Gladiator, The Shawshank Redemption, Memento, The Secret (thanks to a fantastic friend for the recommendation), Waking Life (essential for the aspiring lucid dreamer), Taken (a fantastic action packed movie!), The Twilight Saga (sigh, I know, but I got sucked in), The Transporter 1, 2, & 3 (how could I not, Jason Statham is a sexy man with an even sexier accent!)...which leads me to The Bank Job, and Crank 1 & 2, Children of Men (once again, Clive Owen, another beautiful man with a gorgeous accent) which makes sense for me to include The International, Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, The Ugly Truth, Hitman, Up, Memento, Karate Kid .....and so many more that I can't even think of at the present.

Ok now I plunge into the tunes...let's see first and foremost I love...

• Classic Rock:

Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Tho Who, Cream, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Doors, The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane, Mary Hopkins, Hendrix, John Lennon, Rush, Rolling Stones, Dire Straits, Ten Years After...on and on.

• Next up some newer/indie groups:

Kings of Leon, DJ Sergeant Bravo ( I Want You To Know ) <---that's what I think he should call it, but really it has no name....yet, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Wild Sweet Orange, The Kinks, White Stripes, Sea Wolf, Dr. Dog, The Shackeltons, Clinic, The Bravery, The Honorary Title, The Flobots, Regina Spector, Ingrid Michaelson, The Shins, Brett Dennen, The Strokes, Muse, Beast, Bats For Lashes ( What's A Girl To Do ), Emily Haines ( Doctor Blind ), The Infadels ( Free Things For Poor People ), Madeleine Peyroux *beautiful* ( Blue Alert ), Arcade Fire *creative* ( Neon Bible ), Interpol, Adele ( Chasing Pavements ), The Script, Air Traffic ( Charlotte ), Velojet ( I Follow My Heart ), and Emiliana Torrini ( Me and Armini ), Fischerspooner, Ringside, Royksopp, Blue Foundation...yada yada yada.

• Okie Dokie and now almost everything else that I just don't feel like categorizing:

Counting Crows, Radiohead, Misfits, NOFX, 311, Nirvana, Green Day, Oasis, Elliot Smith, Live, John Mayor, Modest Mouse, SOAD, The Fray, Audio Slave, Jet, The Wallflowers, Animals, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Fastball, Three Days Grace, Seether, Cranberries, Silverchair, Weezer, Alanis Morissette, Coldplay, Mazzy Starr, Dishwalla, Heart, John Frusciante, Keane, My Chemical Romance, REM, The Grass Roots, Black Eyed Peas, Blues Traveler, Cracker, Bryan Adams, Dido, Everlast, Natalie Merchant, Papa Roach, Soul Asylum, Paula Cole, Sound Garden, Talking Heads, Tears for Fears, Dave Matthews Band, The Cure, Zombies, Didyulya.....Soooo many more, but I'm getting tired of typing.

As for food I am extremely picky. I like all kinds but with this and not that or vice versa...just ask me, I'll tell ya.

• I love mushrooms and lima beans.
• The only seafood I ever eat are shrimp and crablegs, but never with pasta.
• I absolutely do not eat red sauce, only white (the opposite of how I like my wine).
• I have to be in a certain mood to eat pizza and spaghetti.
• My ideal meal would probably be almost any kind of pasta with a grilled herb chicken, fresh sauteed vegetables with an alfredo sauce...simple yet flavorful.
• I am not a fan of the infamous "whipped cream/cool whip" phenomenon, to me it must be like the equivalent of biting into a cloud....what's the point??
• Ben n Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream, there is no match
• Breakfast any time of the day
• White rice and egg noodles....not together, but with so many other things.
• Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip tofu cookies...personal recipe, to die for!

• Miscellaneous:

Elephants, to me they represent peace and calm, the gentle giant that's always content to just be.

Thunderstorms on warm summer nights.

A freezing cold bedroom with a plush down comforter to bundle up in.

Deep, serious conversation that allows you a peek inside someone's soul.

Massages, doesn't matter where.... hands, back, feet...but they are NOT optional :)
The six things I could never do without
Love.
Empathy.
Music.
The night.
Sleeping & dreams.
A cup of hot jasmine green tea.
Bonsai trees (serissa foetida...I will master that tree someday!)
Water. (No. Seriously)
Paper and Pen.
My own thoughts.
Was that six??
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, people, what makes us all different. Astrology and trying to delve deeper into how each combination of signs sets everyone apart from one another....Grupo Venus is a cool site for personal horoscopes and personalized compatibility reports ( but it's more beneficial if you know birth places and times). My future and what I plan to do with it, will I ever find my niche and excel in it? Happiness...will I find it? Marriage and children...do I want or need either? I think that marriage is binding and that some tend to do it out of fear. Children too can be a bit binding...some tend to have them out of carelessness......I know I don't want to do either!
On a typical Friday night I am
Either drinking wine, online, reading, studying, traveling to Boise, or out with a friend. I'm not a wild party person, on any night of the week I would much prefer a cozy slumbered night in with a nice wine, a book or movie, a little snack and someone to laugh, talk and just share beautiful intimate moments with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My grandmother always told me, "You have to watch out for the quiet ones" (how right she was)....I am a quiet one.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 25–36
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating
You should message me if
We may have some things in common...I seem interesting to you...you are local (please, I can not do long distance relationships... I'm too much of a 'touchy feely', "need you here now" sort of person) and are interested in getting to know me better and you are actually willing to hold a conversation. It doesn't bother you that I'm in the military and you are up for at least just making a new friend.--- *Note* Men who want to have their cake and play with it too, please move along, this is no place for you.
