I'm a bearded and bespectacled man who, among other things, enjoys staying up late, sleeping in, good food (eating and cooking), reading a book, thinking, weather changes, music (making and listening), tea, coffee, beer, snuff (tobacco, not movies) and interacting with thinking people.

I have a daughter (six years old now) living with me every other week. Don't tell me I didn't warn you...

I can be quite shy, so if I looked at your profile but didn't send you a message, chances are you're so awe-inspiring I lost my nerve. Give me a few days to regain my composure or send me a message yourself.

One of my main goals in life is being able to support myself and my loved ones doing something interesting but with as few consequences for peoples real lives as possible. I've come to the conclusion that this would probably have to be something academic, but exactly what remains to be seen... While I plan for this I teach music, study a bit, raise my kid and whatnot.

Stating things in a way that make them seem like established facts when they are really little more than conjecture.

Making up passable food from what I (or someone else) happen to have at home.

When I have a hangover I can usually sing a Gb in the contra octave.

I make a mean apple pie.

I can sleep through almost any disturbance and almost anywhere. I'm like Sleeping Beauty (only not as beautiful), the only way to wake me is with a true love's kiss... (omg, did I really write that?)

...is probably that I'm at least five minutes late.

Also, I sometimes sing a bit more prominently than socially accepted while walking down the street.

I don't know about you, but I never actually read all the reeeeally long lists I find under this heading on other profiles. So, I'm trying a new thing here. (Updated 2011-09-28)
