What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a degree in economics and I'm a data analyst for a pretty big company. More importantly (I think, at least!) My passions are collecting vinyl records, geeking out over baseball statistics, reading old books, and making people laugh.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Apparently watching Netflix. The other day I crushed like two seasons of parks and recreation in one sitting. When it was over I was like... I really need to go outside. The sad part was that Netflix kept asking me if I was still watching. I'm like really Netflix? I'm sitting on my couch, wearing a Snuggie, and eating white cheddar popcorn, do you really think I plan on doing anything with my life today?

After typing this it immediately feels like an over-share.

I'm currently trying to tackle the Modern Library's 100 Best Novels list, and I've read like 25ish of them so far. I'm reading "Tender is the Night" currently. My favorite off the list has been "I, Claudius." You should totally check that one out...literally and figuratively.

Apocalypse Now, Annie Hall, and Vertigo are classics, and I can pretty much quote all of The Breakfast Club. Good Will Hunting is solid. Oh, the last scene of The Graduate is completely heartbreaking.

House of Cards is delightful. So is Sherlock (BBC), True Detectives, Parks and Rec and The Office.

The Beatles (I mean, come on people), Bob Dylan, Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Simon & Garfunkel,Vampire Weekend, Sufjan Stevens, The Smiths, Joni Mitchell...also, if it found its way onto a Wes Anderson film's soundtrack, I'm probably going to like it too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Ken Burns documentaries.
2) My Simon & Garfunkel Pandora Station
3) 1980's music videos
4) Puppies (I don't actually have one, but the fact that they're out there make me happy)
5) Obscure subreddits
6) Parentheticals (Apparently)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where all those glitter gel pens I had back in 3rd grade went.

When I was a kid I put Bugles on my fingers and pretended I was a witch. You should message me if you did the same.

All jokes aside, I'm really looking for someone who is honest, a little sarcastic, and loves deep conversations! Being passionate is a big plus!
