I was born and raised in the Houston suburbs, but I've lived in South Carolina since 2002. I have 2 cats and I adore them; I love dogs too, I just don't have any right now. I've never been married and I don't have any kids. I don't consider myself a Christian. I have Aggies and Longhorns in my family and I love them all. I believe very strongly that our actions speak louder than words; it's what you do that counts. I'm usually pretty laid back and shy - drama makes me uncomfortable. I can install my own hard drive. I comma splice and don't lose any sleep over it. I've been lucky enough to travel out of the country a few times and I desperately want to do it again. My hair is a little over 2 feet long but I'm about to have it cut and donated to Locks of Love again. I love doing things outdoors and I go hiking a lot, but I am still afraid of bugs. I like to work hard and play hard because it gives me a greater sense of joy and accomplishment. Watch out, I have a torrent program and I know how to use it. I'm pretty open-minded except when it comes to people who aren't. I like being around guys who are intelligent and funny, but who doesn't. I wish Waffle House was organic but I eat there anyway. I like microbrews and black coffee. I have tattoos, piercings, and a serious green thumb. I quit smoking cigarettes not too long ago and I'm feeling a little crazy. 42.

I've been a full-time student and volunteer in South Carolina for the past few years, which has been a blessing. I'm moving back to Texas in December 2009 to go to graduate school and be near my family, who I miss terribly. I recently left my boyfriend of eight years and I'm not really looking for anything long-term right now, I just want to meet some new and interesting people in Texas since I've been gone for so long.

I'm training for the Austin Marathon in February so I run a lot. I also like to practice yoga and kickboxing and I like playing the workout games for the Wii. My parents bought a Wii for themselves and I thought that was hilarious and awesome.

..well "really good" is relative, but I am decent at baking, yoga, graphic design, gardening... really at anything I like enough to do often.

I love music, mostly jam/indie/bluegrass/rock. My favorite band is the Dave Matthews Band; I've seen them twenty times and I'm not ashamed to admit that in my profile.

I like to watch UFC/WEC/etc. but I don't like TUF. The only reality show I like to watch is My Life on the D-List. I like most of the shows Hulu has available.

I'm a Lord of the Rings geek.

I don't like going to the theater but I love movies, especially comedies, and probably a lot of the same ones you like, if you've read this far into my profile.

I like to play video games, but I've never beaten one. My Rockband character's name is ninjajenn too; however, I don't have anything against pirates - I was one for Halloween 2009.

I highly recommend a book by the Dalai Llama called the Art of Happiness. When I read, though, it's usually either science fiction, non-fiction, or fantasy. I had a thing for Michael Moorcock's Eternal Champion series when I was in high school, and Tolkien more recently.
