Ever since I was a kid I have liked the movie Singing in the
Rain
and even though I have seen a lot of movies since then, I
would
have to say it is still my favorite. I also loved Gone With
the
Wind. I guess that is kind of old-fashioned but if I think
about
it, nothing tops those.
I love Indian food, California Cuisine, Thai and Vietnamese
food.
Sushi is delicious and a good paella is true happiness.
There are a lot of books that I have loved. An all-time favorite
is
the Razor's Edge. It's incredibly romantic. Just the other night
I
was talking about Jon Anderson's , "Che Guevara: A
Revolutionary
Life." I loved that too. It's romantic in a completely
different
way from the Razor's Edge. It's about Che's passion for justice and
how his revolutionary journey unfolds (and consequently changes the
lives of many others). By the way, this is not to be taken as an
endorsement of Che. For me, the jury is still out on that one. (If
you are curious about Che and want to see a fantastic movie, check
out "The Motorcycle Diaries." I love that movie.)
As for music, my friend told me he would never have asked his
truly adored wife on a date had he known about her love
of Bruce Springsteen. With that bit of wisdom I have decided
to
keep quiet about my musical tastes. I don't really think it
matters.
