My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey, I'm Chris! I lived in California for almost 12 years, and now I'm in New York pursuing an MBA at Fordham University. I'm originally from a town in Maryland called Rockville just north of Washington D.C. but I came out west to go to USC in 2002 and graduated in 2006. I've been working in the film industry since then, both in LA and San Francisco. I'll spare you the full resume, but I'm happy to share more over a drink or two :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently I'm working on an MBA, but I'm still committed to working in and revolutionizing the entertainment industry. In the meantime, I'm just trying to have some fun and new adventures along the way. Eventually I'd like to develop and produce feature films or episodic television, and I've been lucky enough to do a little of that already. I started my own company in 2009 to produce various media projects, everything from corporate videos to short films, and so far I've made a decent enough living at it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at telling stories, learning new things, solving problems and comforting those in need of comforting. A lot of people tell me I'm good at explaining things about politics, but thats because I'm a giant political nerd.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Um. My beard, maybe? I get a lot of comments about my beard. Though I secretly wish it would be my piercing wit and raucous humour.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Right now, favorite book has got to be Song of Ice and Fire (aka Game of Thrones), and that would probably be my favorite show too. I'm a big fan of classic noir too, like Dashiell Hammett and James Cain, and modern noir like Brett Easton Ellis (Less Than Zero, American Psycho). Great Gatsby, Brave New World, 1984, Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit, Fahrenheit 451, and non fiction about political figures also top the list.

Oh God, there are so many great movies, there are way too many to count, but some include Sunset Boulevard, The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, Independence Day (why not), No Country for Old Men, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, Vertigo, Dirty Harry, Apollo 13, Lost in Translation, Eternal Sunshine, Coffee and Cigarettes, The King's Speech, John Adams, Game Change, The Usual Suspects, Blazing Saddles, Space Balls, Monty Python and the Holy Grail (actually, all the Monty Python movies), Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and anything James Bond, just to name a few (there are so many many more!). I will also admit to having an undying love for Science Fiction, everything from Star Wars and Star Trek to Children of Men and Serenity.

Favorite TV: Game of Thrones, The Wire, True Blood, Dexter, Arrested Development, Battlestar Galactica, The West Wing, Breaking Bad, Family Guy, American Dad, Adult Swim, Mad Men, The Voice, Shark Tank, Undercover Boss (those are the only 3 reality shows I like!)

As for Music? Indie Rock is great, I love Beirut, Wolf Parade, Andrew Bird, RJD2, Ratatat, Arcade Fire, Grizzly Bear, Band of Horses, The Decembrists, but also some standards like Radiohead, Billy Joel, Simon and Garfunkel, Rolling Stones, Jane's Addiction, Pearl Jam, and a couple random metal bands like Metallica and Dream Theater. Oh, and Daft Punk, but I can never decide what category to put them in, they're not really just dance pop anymore...this list is by no means even close to complete but I could go on all day.

As for food, I challenge you to find something I won't like, I'm about the most open minded person you'll ever meet when it comes to food. Baked Mac and Cheese is possibly my favorite though :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hmm. Six is an oddly specific number...but here goes:

1. Coffee
2. A Mac (Yes, I'm a member of the Mac cult)
3. Creative People
4. Politics
5. A loving, supportive family
6. Delicious food
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about the challenges facing the modern entertainment industry and establishing a good long term career in it in the modern era. Also politics. Lots and lots of politics. And script ideas. And adventure ideas. And San Francisco, my favorite city.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Playing poker with friends. Best way to blow off steam from a long work week. Also, way cheaper than hanging out in a bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a lifelong Star Trek fan and proud of it!
