I am . I'm not. Sometimes, i'm both, and sometimes............

My Self-Summary

Pensive. Logical. Easy going. Health-conscious. Father.

I like to study (I'm a nerd). I play clarinet and like to write and listen to poetry (I'm an artist). I like to laugh, spend time with friends, walk slowly in the rain, hear good stories, make jokes, grow as person, try new things, and take long showers (I'm human).

I'm not the sort of person that can write an interesting, witty, or charming self-summary about himself. I'm the sort of person that is interesting, witty, and maybe even charming in real-time.

If you know anything about personality typing, i'm an INTP. If you don't, you can google it. OR..... message me. :)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm working as a Clarinetist for the Marine Corps.
I'm raising my son.
I'm teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
I'm studying the mysteries of the universe.

I’m really good at

Laughing. Acquiring new skills. Being happy. Keeping my sense of youth as I get older. Fathering.

The first things people usually notice about me

-My aura of serenity
-My quick and colorful sense of humor

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books - I really like books by Daniel Quinn. I liked Jeff Noon but he's out of print. These authors probably mean nothing to you... I generally read nerdy things about physiology, neuroscience, and nutrition. I tend to read multiple books at once. Right now I'm trying to finish Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience, The Endless Web: Fascial Anatomy and Physical Reality, and Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers

Movies- A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, Meet The Robinsons,Requiem for a Dream, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fountain, Secretary, Up, Lost Boys, 40 Year Old Virgin, Ice Age, Chocolat, Saw

Music - Emilie Simon, Glassjaw, The Mars Volta, At the Drive In, Mew, Alesana, Kanye West, No More Kings, Dvorak

Food - I'm not incredibly hardcore with my diet, and don't try to push it on others, but I try to stick with Fruits, Vegetables, Nuts, Seeds, and Grains in general (Vegan). I have an interest in superfoods. I approach diet mostly from a nutritional (as opposed to ethical) standpoint, so I won't think you are evil if you eat meat lol.

The six things I could never do without

Family
The Interwebz
Laughter
Music
My Blendtec
Jiu Jitsu

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Possibilities. Biomechanics. Health. The Universe. The little things (you know... electrons, minerals). Visiting exotic places. Why is it that in movies you can only open lockers with a hammer fist strike? Why the hell does OKC ask me to enter my OLD password to make changes? What if I didn't remember it? That's often why people make new ones, ya know.

On a typical Friday night I am

Hanging out with my son, making smoothies, prepping popcorn, and watching a movie.

And when I go out, I like to hang out at with friends wherever. And if their is karaoke, game on!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Almost any good movie can make my eyes water.

You should message me if

You know how to use a semicolon.
