Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a teacher, which means I'm off for the summer and loving waking
up without an alarm clock. I just moved to Port Jeff and I'm
enjoying exploring my new town, but after packing and unpacking, I
never want to see a piece of bubble wrap again...something I never
expected to say! I also just published a novel, though now I'm
trying to figure out how to get people I don't know to read it. I
also write a blog on pop culture that's getting impressive traffic,
so that's both exciting and a little bit strange! Mostly, I'm
incredibly sarcastic and consider "you're funny" to be the best
compliment to give and get.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I absolutely love my job. I teach Film, so I get to introduce kids
to the beauty that is John Hughes, Tarantino, and "Caddyshack,"
which, crazily, most of them haven't seen. I see it as my duty to
educate the future generation on illuminating things like slasher
movies. I leave it up to other people to teach them less essential
things like math.
I'm also a writer. Working on a pilot script for a series I hope
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...finding the logic in a situation; easing an uncomfortable moment
with humor; quoting movies; cuddling; building pillow forts; being
spontaneous; making friends with every dog I encounter; baking; and
laughing my ass off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile...I credit the dimples.

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Almost Famous, Rosemary's Baby, Taxi Driver,
any Hitchcock, LA Confidential, The Graduate, Caddyshack
Books: The Things They Carried (insanely great book), Under the
Banner of Heaven, The Virgin Suicides, sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs,
Easy Riders, Raging Bulls: How the Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll
Generation Changed Hollywood.
Music: Springsteen, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Most classic rock
TV: still miss Lost, but I love Mad Men, Girls, Parks and
Recreation. I'm off most reality tv...I can no longer watch morons
fight. Think I've outgrown mass media-endorsed idiocy. Since the
blog though, I'm back to watch the Housewives. That shit leads to
seriously good blog fodder.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog Wookie, my family and friends, high heels (seriously...I
never wear flats), periodic candy -- hopefully in the Twix family
-- my phone (I'm addicted -- it happened), and funny people around
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why so many people post pictures of themselves half naked in the
bathroom mirror and expect the viewer to get all tingly. Maybe it's
just me, but if I see your medicine cabinet and toilet in the pic,
it's not hot.
Also, starting any message to me with "heyyyyyyy" will pretty much
guarantee that you'll never see me naked.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Having dinner with friends and looking forward to sleeping until
the sun comes up on Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I actually want to end up with a guy who spends Sundays parked on a
couch watching football. I don't really follow the game, but I love
being around people who are true fans and appreciate the kick ass
dip I'll serve.
