My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a recent graduate from an IU masters program, currently on the job-hunt. My degrees are in environmental science and public affairs. I love the outdoors (though pitifully little time has been spent there recently), reading, spending time with friends (dinner parties/pot-lucks/bonfires), and the like.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am looking for a job in the area of my recent studies. In the meantime, I'm working part time for the city of Bloomington and part time for IU. It all adds up to a comfortable existence and allows me to enjoy life and gain experience in fascinating fields that should help my future prospects. While not working, I have been spending too much time in coffee shops applying for jobs, but I'll make time for the occasional walk in the woods and running.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Food: I like cooking, and, even better, having someone to cook with. A wonderful evening is spending time in the kitchen with someone close to me and experimenting or just making something casual and going from there.

Music: Many kinds. However, I do hold a special place for bluegrass music, for live music of most kinds, for more laid-back music (unless it's dancing time). It is hard to say. Different days call for different themes.

Books: Recently read or currently reading include: The Tale of Two Cities, The New Yorker, Conscileince, A Confederacy of Dunces, Wendell Berry, The Killer Angels. Mostly non-fiction, but I enjoy both.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Connections with friends and family
Water
Exploration
My feet
Things not yet learned (I hope that doesn't sound ridiculous)
A home
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Dinner party, going to a show, reading, having a beer with friends, and/or relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I cannot grow a full beard (maybe not so private, more tragic)
