Arrogant while being humble. Privately I have a very high opinion of my self and honestly believe that I'm better than most of you. But I'd never admit that in public - especially among strangers, But you don't count because you want to know me. And I expect you to be able to hold a candle to my brilliance.
I have a degree in astrophysics, have done research in fluid mechanics and environmental biosafety, and I love to learn.

What I’m doing with my life
Working in a field that doesn't match my training, education or
aptitude. But I enjoy it - if I had more to do I would almost say
I'm happy doing that.
But my work is not my life, I go to live folk concerts whenever I can, I do kung fu, and enjoy thinking.

I’m really good at
I'm excellent at being efficient - when I have a complicated task I
can always find the quickest way to complete it with the least
effort. Granted it isn't always the best solution but it will hold
the house together.
I'm also really great at repressing my emotions. But other than that not much, I prefer to think of myself as a jack-of-all trades aspiring to become a polymath.

The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my size. I'm not a little girl at all...but hey, I like my
proportions, I just wish I was a little flatter.
Other than that, my glasses really are who I am. When I don't have my glasses on, I don't feel like me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
a) I really like non-fiction books with the exceptions of
biographies. Its part of my passion of needing to know a bit of
everything
b) I'm not a huge fan of movies, there are one or two in every genre that I love but mostly I can take them or leave them.
c) I *love* music. Especially live music - if I could I would go to at least 2 concerts a week. Folk would be my favourite genre to listen to live but sometimes I just need to rock out.
d) Cheese. If I had a choice between cheese and chocolate I would pick cheese anyday. I do like fruit though too, mango, strawberry, melons...hmmm, melons...

The six things I could never do without
My personal freedom to do anything I want. The reason I obey (most
of) the laws is because I can see the logic behind them, or they
follow my personal ethos.
Having someone to call on as a friend. Granted I don't always have that, but I'm feeling miserable when I don't.
Stuff to do. I'm a hard worker by nature. I HATE being bored so much, it makes me very depressed.
Science!! Because it rocks. And you should all know it.
And for my last two...a computer with an internet connection. Endless amusement, and can fulfill a few of my other requirements

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Myself. Call me vain if you must, but I feel it is very important
for me to understand myself and my motivations. Outside of the me,
I think quite a bit about cosmology, justice, philosophy, movies I've watched
recently, books I've ever read, and of course why people behave the
way I do.
On a typical Friday night I am
Talking to people online, and during for the summer going for a
walk and or bike ride in the river valley. Ideally going out for a
concert if I can spare the funds.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm a slob. I'll do a massive clean every few weeks but for the
most part I am very comfortable living in a disorganized mess.
