My self-summary
Gigantic, child faced Chris is a thoughtful cove who likes to while away his time worrying and apologising. A Romany curse, cast upon him while gestating in the womb, left Chris with the temperament of a nerd trapped in the body of a Rugby player. He's a bit shy with strangers, but once he gets to know someone is unerringly loyal and a good laugh. Becoming charmingly obsessed with anything he finds interesting, his mind is a hive of useless information - were he able to put his brain to any practical use, he would be a formidable force to be reckoned with. However, until the day obscure advert jingles and cartoon theme tunes from the 80s and 90s become more highly regarded, the world is safe.

After studying Media at Leeds university, Chris immediately leapt into action and began missing his student lifestyle. In an attempt to recapture that spark, he completed an MA Scriptwriting course at Salford and now understands how much story structure is like a mathematical equation.

Realising the rest of the world was intent on 'growing up', Chris is now searching for that special someone to laugh at the rest of the world with. Or just be mates, y'know, let's not stress over it.

Chris has an exciting scar by his right eye, proving what a tough, heroic figure he truly is. If you ask nicely, he will happily furnish you with a personalised, unique, extravagant lie as to how he accquired it. This lie has a resale value of £1, but Chris would prefer it if you kept it prominantly displayed on your mantlepiece.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently trying to pursue a career in media. I've done a bit of work at the BBC in Manchester and it's all about keeping the ball rolling now. I've no real commitments, so just want to meet new people.
I’m really good at
I love writing and art. I'd love to write a comic, but lack the patience. By the time I develop one set of characters, I get bored and want to experiment with a different artistic style.

I've written a few scripts I'm quite proud of, and I'm always on the lookout for writing partners to bounce ideas off. I really love the collaborative process, as you reach places you'd never get to on your own. Having someone else work with you is also a good incentive to produce your best stuff to impress them.

I also paint and am pretty good with modelling clay, provided you want some sort of amusing character.

I'm also involved in amateur dramatics in an attempt to build confidence, try something new and meet people.

I love crosswords, especially cryptic crosswords and the smug sense of accomplishment you feel when you crack a particularly obtuse clue.
The first things people usually notice about me
I dunno, at 6'5, people usually mention my height. People also say I have a young face. I occasionally still get asked for ID in bars.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a huge comedy fan and I'm always on the lookout for new shows/acts to follow.

Stand Ups I love include: Stewart Lee, Simon Munnery, Tony Law, Richard Herring, Tim Heidecker, Maria Bamford, Greg Proops, The Actor Kevin Eldon, Bill Bailey, Sean Lock, Hans Teeuwen, Eddie Izzard back in the day, Harry Hill.

Books: Blood Meridian, The Perfect Fool, The Gunseller, Hippopotamus, The Liar, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Good Omens, Brave New World, 1984, H2G2, Tolkien, Terry Pratchett, comedian biographies,

Comics: Pretty much anything by Alan Moore, The Walking Dead, Hellboy, B.P.R.D., Y: The Last Man, Strangehaven

TV: Arrested Development, Monty Python, Tim & Eric, Check It Out With Dr. Steve Brule, The Day Today, Brass Eye, Jam, The Thick Of It, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Dexter, Spaced, South Park, Limmy's Show, 15 Storeys High, The League of Gentlemen, Red Dwarf, Peep Show, Xavier: Renegade Angel, Wonder Showzen, Reeves and Mortimer and more comedy than I have time to list.

Movies: Brazil, Four Lions, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, LOTR, The Devil's Backbone, Pan's Labyrinth, Alien, The Thing, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, almost anything by Pixar, most of the Coen Brothers output, loads of Terry Gilliam films, PT Anderson movies, Charlie Kaufman movies, and anything that makes you think. I'm a massive animation fan.

Music: Animal Collective, Arcade Fire, Beck, The Black Keys, Blur, The Breeders, Captain Beefheart, Cardiacs, Daft Punk, Deerhoof, DJ Shadow, Eels, Fleet Foxes, Gorillaz, Joanna Newsom, Mr. Scruff, Neutral Milk Hotel, Pixies, Radiohead, They Might Be Giants, UNKLE, The White Stripes

Food: Fish and seafood - I'm ideally a pescatarian, but still eat meat out of politeness when people make meals. I also have a ridiculously sweet tooth.
The six things I could never do without
Comedy, Music, Books, Sweets, Cartoons, Friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Cake.

Morphic Resonance.

Gary Oldman, Gary Numan, Gary Coleman. Something's up there.

How to destroy the daddylonglegs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking with mates or reading/waching a DVD/gaming.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like musicals. Some musicals.
I am reduced to a shameful, weeping wreck whenever I watch Toy Story 3.
