Flippancy aside, I'm a groovy guy with a genuine and kind nature, one who's entirely unafraid to use the word "groovy" in a dating profile. By day, I'm a creative at a large advertising agency. By night, I'm a rabid music disciple and I've been doing my own Saturday night radio show for 20 years now. Radio is my passion and I can throw down a pretty intense and psychedelic two-hour mix of proper techno and deep, dubby house. I don't DJ out in clubs as much as I used to but I still love turning people on to new music. It's really important for me to contribute to the culture of the Twin Cities; I feel it's a moral obligation.
I try my best to live a physically, mentally and spiritually healthy lifestyle, which is not to say I don't enjoy the occasional burger and brewski. I love yoga, kettlebells, doing my radio show, record shopping, seeing bands and movies, biking, running, hiking, making green juices with my new juicer, and getting out of town with my friends when I get the chance. I'm also an ardent fan of The Best Show on WFMU, for those who are hip to that.
I'm attracted to strong and creative women who are curious, engaged and adventurous. A sense of humor is a huge turn-on for me. Not just “funny gets” but “funny gives,” if you know what I mean. I'd love to find someone who would come with me to visit my dad in South Africa. Hopefully you'd be into grabbing a spontaneous nightcap or open to seeing some crazy bands at a Sunday night show.
I'm definitely on a spiritual path but I'm not a weirdo New Age-y type. I'm serious about doing the inner work, just where I'm at in my life right now. I'm hoping my partner would at least be open to that kind of stuff and perhaps be interested in exploring the big questions along with me. I'm not super into having kids myself but it's OK if you have them.
