Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Written in three different styles...
[1. Bon mot Version]
A sane mind that's crazy for living.
A resilient self that knows when to go to pieces.
A toned body that might be key to playing your tune.
...mild-mannered with a severe wit.
...a mister, not a hipster--but might try to kiss her.
...honest, even if this sentence is a lie.
I like to:
...connect by unplugging
...dress up, when everyone is dressing down.
...strike a chord, since I can't belt a tune.
...devour books, but save an appetite for you.
I believe that:
...Swearing is bad. And just won't give a f&ck about someone
...Talk is cheap. Listening is priceless.
...It's not about the bucket list. It's about who will grab the
pail when it's time to put out the fire.
[2. Cliche-rich version]
"Works hard, plays hard" "I'm new to this" "Looking for my partner
in crime" "Laid back" "Loves to laugh" "Likes to travel" "Down to
earth" "Let's hang out" ... Did I leave anything out? Oh yeah:
[3. Traditional version]
I'm a fifth generation Californian, go way back--an earthquake
nearly took out this guy (true story). I do know this state quite
well and its storied (ongoing) history of dreamers, rebels, and
iconoclasts. And if you ever call it Cali, Frisco, or 'San Fran',
my eyes are liable to roll out of my head while I herd your *ss out
I might like "long walks on the beach"...if it's after doing some
ocean boarding off Pacifica or Monterey. If you cycle, well
alright, you're getting warm. If you like to walk / hike and
discover unfamiliar places--local and afar--then you could be
getting 'hot', triple entendre mildly intended.
I like to think I'm a man of some refinement, a man who'll cop the
lamest excuse to dress with a little style. Not into "Dad jeans"
(and now, dad-bod?), t-shirts, ill-fitting clothes, poorly paired
colors -- this will not change.
I tend to be stable, a mild-mannered type (soft-spoken, yep), yet
know when to veer off the rails a bit, and still arrive safe but
charged from our little adventure. I am grateful for the good
fortune, health, and experiences in my life, and the means and time
to pursue my interests. Like an interesting gal...
Not looking for a 'clone' of my tastes & interests
either--challenge is good. I do read the profiles, after ogling
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work for a well known sound technology company, on the business
side helping people work smarter by designing visual
representations of data. With the financial security I've built for
myself, I feel free to focus on various outside passions and
interests, near and far. Maybe you.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Putting myself together -- clothes, shoes, a suit. This I
enjoy--sometimes a tad eccentric about it.
Word play -- OKC questions are fun...
Leading local urban history & geography walks. A minor passion
And I do like to cook. "I have an idea for making dinner
tonight..." So just relax. But don't forget to kiss the cook.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not that I really care. Well, I do know quite a bit about local
history and geography. Occasionally boastful about it--but avoids

Paradox of Choice (...okc being exhibit A), Cool Gray City of Love,
The Complete Sherlock Holmes, James Thurber: Writings &
Drawings, Flim Flam!, Freakonomics, The Tempest, Guns, Germs &

CIA's spytech's, The Age of Wonder (good book), Devil in the White
City, The Demon-Haunted World... What do you like to read?
Why don't we just plug our device playlists into my car stereo and
get turned on by something new? Caution, any song of mine you hate
will be in very high fidelity!
MOVIES: Bulworth, Wag the Dog, Woody Allen almost any release, La
Dolce Vita, Bridesmaids, Back to School, Dr Strangelove,
Beetlejuice, CitizenKane, Bowfinger... get the picture?
SHOWS: As in TV? Don't watch that anymore. If you do, have at it. I
did watch Celebrity Rehab awhile back just for the meltdowns.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Health, Books, Curiosity, my "Police" Car, Investments, Being alone
sometimes. Two great kids, now on their own.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Partying, doing serious drugs, pimping, watching trash TV, being a
total ne'er-do-well...Silly snarking aside, I stay on the wholesome
side of the house and uncork the little devil in me when called
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Eyeglasses on a lady are very sexy--the more bookish looking, and I
may lose control. Keep them on, so I can take them off.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You would agree that happiness can come from light-hearted moments
as much as any grade A bucket list 'experience'. Hmmm, never been
to Paris -- sounds nice.
You like to kiss. And dance -- even if everyone is watching.
You prefer we meet soon and engage our senses rather than idly
construct idealizations built on abstract representations. In plain
English, let's meet (and have a little fun). I actually like some
text banter, but I prefer to see you soon.
