My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wowwwwwww I just moved from Capitol Hill to Wallingford and feel really good about this big new house. It's got a library with a big ass window that looks at the water and downtown and shit.

My name is Riley.

I was hoping to go to grad school so I could be some kind of humanities professor, but now I'm probably not going to do that. I worked in a bunch of different aspects of the special coffee industry and got really good at things like tasting coffee and pouring latte art.

After all the graduate school rejection letters hit I decided it was time to try something different. After a long strange job search I've landed a corporate job that is offering me room for learning and advancement and making me wonder about what kind of person I'm going to become next and what I want out of my life.

Current life priorities:
Read books
Go to the gym
Eat tons of food
Drink things I like with people I like
Learn things
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Sleeping under a big skylight.

Getting used to being confused by life.

Dealing with the transition from specialty coffee to the corporate world.

Reading and writing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Frying eggs. Running after frisbees.

Making coffee. I'm real good at latte art.

I'm real good at talking about thoughts and feelings too.

I read some Murakami a bit ago. I'm currently reading Cormac McCarthy. He is one of my favorites. Other great writers I like: Flannery O'Connor, Rilke, R.G. Collingwood, Henri Bergson, David Mitchell. Other stuff. I like books.

I like music. Lately, The War on Drugs, Perfume Genius, Owen Pallet, Frightened Rabbit, other stuff.

I love watching bad cooking shows, like Hell's Kitchen and Top Chef and Chopped. I like GOT too. I don't watch a lot of tv.

I eat lots of food. Like hardboiled eggs and burritos and tacos and lots of beans and kale and salsa and ice cream and whatever.

Definitely if you are ready to eat a taco or drink a beer with me in the next 48 hours.

I find messaging on this site to be somewhat drawn out and not always rewarding. I'm really just interested in sitting down with people and seeing if we get along.
