My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
No longer "seeing someone" but couldn't figure out how to change that from my phone. If I'm still on here in a week I'll do some cleaning up around here...

4/15/ - I'm recently back from travelling in S.E Asia and India where I completed a yoga teacher training program - Spring is here in NY and I wouldn't be anywhere else! :) Hit me up if you want to climb, explore a beach, make a day-trip dash to somewhere new, or just enjoy a glass of wine somewhere outside.

I kind of just keep adding to this - it's become a little unwieldy, oh well.

My big sister (the one who isn't actually my sister), told me recently that the more interesting we make our selves the harder it becomes to find a partner who is on the same page. I've been thinking about this. I have been a lot of places and done (do) a lot of things: I am an artist, a yogi, an adventurer, a polyglot, a lover of love, a hard worker, a surfer, a woodworker, a designer of dreams and dreamer of designs. Over the course of a life of working, wandering, and learning I have accumulated a library worth of stories and I guess more than many other things I hope you have too.

"I do not consider myself less ignorant than most people. I have been and still am a seeker, but I have ceased to question stars and books; I have begun to listen to the teachings my blood whispers to me. My story is not a pleasant one; it is neither sweet nor harmonious, as invented stories are; it has the taste of nonsense and chaos, of madness and dreams - like the lives of all men who stop deceiving themselves.

Each man's life represents the road toward himself, an attempt at such a road, the intimation of a path. No man has ever been entirely and completely himself. Yet each one strives to become that one in an awkward, the other in a more intelligent way, each as best he can."

-excerpt from H. Hesse's Demian
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Scheming escape. Dreaming lucidly. Mastering transitions. Travelling liberally. Update: Creating roots without losing freedom, thinking about spending more time in nature. Recently have gotten back into rock climbing...

I have a small network infrastructure and security business with a friend. I also work as a Art Director for film, photo, and events.
I make installation/performance art works and sculptures.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

the above is not a book, movie, or band - it's a reaction to the thought of even attempting this list. Some thoughts:

Martin Puryear, Andy Goldsworthy (I know I can't help it), M. Abramovic, Van Gogh, Buonarrati, Richard Long, Robert Irwin, Cai Guo-Qiang...

Magic realism from South America and South Asia mostly. the Sufis, the idealists. The dense and beautifully tortured Russians. Classical frame stories (1001 nights, Mahabharata, Ramayana), Hesse, Calvino, Stone... oh and when does the next Game of Thrones book come out??

Indian (especially sarod and bansuri), Brazillian (Foro for dancing, Samba for socializing, Maracatu whenever I can get it), Indie Rock, Swing and Big Band, Celtic (for crushing on the female voice - same holds true for arabic and indian female singers), Classical (there's something to be said for 400yr old masters, who are still masters), Opera (I spent 6 years making my living jumping around in that big house in the middle of Lincoln Center Plaza), deep dirty Electronic music (that has built on what came before it and offers surprises for the wild dancer side of me - breaks over straight beat any day, the morning show on KEXP, everything else that I like when I hear it - context can be everything... Lately I've been into Pretty Lights...

I just watched Midnight In Paris and now my heart hurts.
Kirosawa esp. Dersu Uzala, Herzog - and doc's about Herzog, and nothings wrong with a good bank heist/adventure/romance film when the mind is tired and the day has been long.

Spicy, Savory, Brunchy, Veggie for me - anything for you (but you kinda have to be able to roll with the spicy).
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

I am extra-urban curious and have 2 and 4 wheeled vehicles to explore with - could use an adventurous co-pilot!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I get more dates when I feign indifference and that gets old.

You are up for an adventure and can hold your end of an intellectual conversation. You don't think being an adult and climbing trees mutually exclusive. Also I love a woman who has a passport and knows how to use it (bonus if hiking boots accompany dancing shoes in your luggage).
You're a romantic...
You are defined by divergent interests: city/country, warehouse party/meditation, independent/a good partner, crazy dance music/classical music, etc...
