I am creatively logical, bookish, and oxymoronic.

My Self-Summary

Music is like air to me. I like coffee an awful lot. I'm a reading fiend. I like looking at maps. I have a serious love affair with the Art Institute. I don't eat meat, but have no problem cooking it for my carnivorous friends. (Weird, I know.) I enjoy people watching and crowds. On weekend afternoons, I can often be found wandering aimlessly around Chicago. On weekend nights, I'm just as happy staying in with a home-cooked meal (or pizza), a bottle of wine, a movie, and a cute, cuddly boy as I am going out. I have a pretty witty sense of humor, but it usually takes awhile for it to show itself when getting to know someone new (whether it be a new friend or new lover). And last but not least, I have a wide-ranging appreciation for films of all sorts from old, classic, black-and-white Hollywood fare to Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns to Alfred Hitchcock to film noir to French new wave to silly, teen comedies, and no matter how many guy friends try to convince me Die Hard 2 is the best of the series, I hold steadfast at Die Hard with a Vengeance being my favorite of the four.

What I’m doing with my life

I have a degree in Communication Arts: Radio, TV and Film. I moved to Chicago three years ago and am gainfully employed.

I’m really good at

Listening.

The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm tall?

What, no favorite TV category?!?!?

Food: Anything that goes well with sangria (and isn't meat).

The six things I could never do without

Coffee. The Cribs. The public library. My friends. My MacBook Pro. Sexy shoes.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Anything and everything.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either home with a movie and some wine, out with friends, or at a gig.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I never learned how to do a cartwheel.

You should message me if

If you enjoy coffee, good conversation, and/or have a good book recommendation.
