My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born half-Finnish, half Scottish-Canadian.
Writer and irrepressible wit.
Performance artist, stand-up comedian, owns 4 bikes, shops in the men's clothing section, a wizard with an ironing board, and statistically likely to be taller than your last girlfriend.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm doing a lot of stand-up comedy, singing in a punk band, continuing some theatre/performance/game projects, and thinking about getting honest work as a fry cook... or possibly guide to the underworld or something.

Although to be fair I'm also doing a fiscally responsible 9-to-5 gig in writing for training courses. Not bad work if you can get it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Performing. It's my thing, really. I also love just about every sport I've ever tried, and I'm a ruthless proofreader with a pen of vengeance.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not the most symptomatic example of femininity, let's put it that way. I'm the girl you knew in grade school who could kick your ass in a fist fight. I like guys (despite the earlier fist-fighting); I just also happen to act and dress like one most of the time. TBH, I just want to get this out of the way to filter out people who can't handle that. When we're actually talking and hanging out, it's the last thing you're likely to notice.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Infinite Jest. Also going through a William Gibson phase.

Music: Einstürzende Neubauten, Phillip Glass, Arcade Fire, Aesop Rock, Tom Waits, Michael Jackson, Arvo Pärt, Suicide, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Rheostatics, David Bowie, northern soul, dnb, Laurie Anderson, Björk, Morrissey
Movies: David Lynch, Jeunet, Lars von Trier, Fassbinder, good horror films, occasional Burtons, Wim Wenders, Greenaway, the Cornetto Trilogy, well made stories like The Princess Bride.

TV: 30 Rock, The Wire, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Star Trek, Black Mirror, Midsomer Murders, QI, The Last Leg, A Bit of Fry and Laurie, documentaries up the wazoo, and an *awful* lot of stand-up comedy. Oh and Black Books. In fact, all the other shows can go home now; Black Books has taken the grand prize. One more time: Black Books.

Radio: The News Quiz, Cabin Pressure, The Now Show, John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme, also various science fiction radio plays and stuff like I'm Sorry, I Haven't a Clue.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love in Stockholm
Avocado and bacon sandwiches
My bicycle(s)
Tailored shirts (that's seven, but cut a girl some slack)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why we do what we do. Whether there's a way to break out of the frames through which we habitually see our lives and others. Whether I ought to read Freud or eschew him. What kind of installation or game I want to build next. When the next season of QI starts. Whether what I'm wearing is what I actually like or whether it's a habitual performance of gender stereotypes. What that guy over there thinks of me. Whether all this overthinking is going to make me crazy. Whether beauty is a physical experience or not. To what extent is Dan Savage altering sexual consciousness in an entire generation of geeks. Why am I so rubbish at writing lyrics. Is this really worth tweeting about. Etc etc etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either performing, out dancing my butt off, in the pub with a pint of Young's Double Chocolate Stout and my bandmates, or kind of hiding from everyone and staying at home drinking very nice coffee and reading articles about surveillance technology and freaking out about the future and stuff. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I still secretly and desperately want to be and do something impressive in this life.

I kinda make you want to watch the next season of Doctor Who together. Or if you want to send me bike porn. Or if just in some queer way you wanna hang. I've been mostly single for a while, but I'm looking to change that.
