The idea of trying to sum myself up in words and paragraphs makes my brain hurt. Anyway, here goes...

I'm just a quirky character trying to fit into a world that I will never quite fit into.

I try to be an open minded person. I tend to be a bit artsy and sort of eccentric at times. Being honest to a fault, and incredibly blunt, sometimes gets me into trouble, but it is just the way I am. I don't sugar coat anything. I am a very caring and loving person, but turn into an ice queen when hurt or crossed.

I tend to ask a lot of questions, but am always willing to answer questions asked of me as well. I'm an open book, you've just got to ask. I don't offend easily and am willing to discuss almost anything, as long as I have some knowledge of the subject. I also stand up for myself and don't take crap from anyone.

I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, and I rarely drink. I try to live a positive life.

I love learning new things and exploring. I don't do well in classic learning environments since I need faster input than they generally can provide.

I like a wide variety of things, such as: art, computers, music, video games, movies, knitting, crafts, NES, SNES, hermit crabs, reading, walking, eating right, poi and intelligent conversations.

I'm a novice at poi spinning. I'm horribly addicted already. I wish I knew others that spun. I'd love to spin fire eventually and that isn't something to do alone.

I'd also like to learn how to weld, more about auto mechanics (I actually seriously considered going to college for auto tech), and various home improvement skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile, landscaping, decorating, etc). Having grown up on a farm, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, in fact, I love it.

Also for personality type, I'm INTJ ("the mastermind" or also known as "the scientist") almost to the letter. Check out this for more information.

Ideally I'd like to find a job in the Elyria area working with autistic children (or adults). However, if that doesn't work out, working with anyone with special needs would be great.

I've spent most of my life working with the developmentally disabled. I just have a passion for helping people. I think it is my "calling" in life. In addition to working with the developmentally disabled, I've also done some various IT work on the side. I've been pursuing a degree in information technology off and on for years now.

I don't care about money, I care about making a difference. I guess that is rare these days. Everyone seems to be about bigger, more, and "better". I'm just working on paying my debts off so I can live a simpler life and hopefully travel a bit.

In the future I plan to foster (and perhaps adopt) special needs children. I probably won't have much luck finding a man who is accepting and supportive of that, but it isn't something I'm willing to compromise on.

Ideally, I'd like a job I can make a difference in, a comfortable home, a husband, and children (probably a mix of biological and foster/adopted).

I probably just scared off every single guy with this section. Oh well, I am at least honest.

I'd have to say I'm very good at making people laugh. I'm also a good listener or talker, depends who you ask. ;-)

I am a quick thinker, fast reader and a fast learner. I tend to catch onto new things and situations easily. I am also pretty artistic, but haven't been actively artsy in a while.

Creating and building things - I fancy myself a bit of a mad scientist and ache for the day when I can have my own shop/studio in which to build my creations.

I am a bit weird, just a little bit odd.

I'm not a typical girl.

That there is just "something" about me they can't explain (I've asked them to explain and they really can't).

Feet. - People notice my feet a lot, either because I'm wearing funky shoes, or because I'm barefoot or wearing sandals and I have very nice feet. I have a bit of a shoe and foot obsession.

Bum. - My rear, it is magical. (I kid, I kid...)

Laugh. - My laugh, no doubt. I'm always laughing. My laugh is something to be heard.

Food: My favorite food is pumpkin. I also enjoy lahvash, fruits, veggies, rice milk, and grains. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to red & green bell peppers and lactose intolerant.

I make it a point to read the ingredient list and nutritional information of every food product I buy. It is rather disturbing what is actually in the stuff we eat. The more labels I read the more things I completely avoid.

My computers, my cell phone, my toothbrush, food in my stomach, air, and space.

I should also add God, love, my family, and my friends. Those aren't really things to me though.

B. Practicing mountain dulcimer and/or acoustic guitar. Yes I am crazy enough to attempt to learn two instruments at once. I'm still a horrible novice at both.

I'm NOT actively dating because frankly men have been FAR too much drama and pain the past few years than they're worth. I deserve MUCH better and refuse to just settle for something in order to not be single anymore. I'm not one of those pathetic people that will date somebody to just not be alone. If it isn't genuine I'm not bothering, at all.

Let me put it this way, my last actual "date" that I can remember was in January 2009. I don't bother with such things often.
