I'm a quirky, fun, easy going, patient, kind, optimist, realist,
"let's try it" kinda girl, who's calm, engaging, friendly, and
communicative. I've been accused of being a loyal friend. I'm
fiercely independent, but love being taken care of. I'm down to
earth, but I appreciate the finer things life has to offer. I'm
willing, happy, and content - except I'd love to share life's
adventures with someone special.
I am employed as a special needs teacher and love what I do. My school kids show me what's important each day: how making small steps can lead to big strides. I put my all into each child and am willing to work as long and as hard as it takes to make them successful in whatever way they can! Every student becomes "my kid" quickly and each one teaches me something in return. Nothing like the smile on a little one's face once they "get it"!
Of course, my most proud accomplishment is my own two incredible kids. Although they aren't perfect they come pretty close, in my eyes at least. Both are successful at their prospective universities, well adjusted, happy, young people! It's very cool watching them become who they are meant to be!
I enjoy lots of things including hiking, music - listening, you don't want to hear me sing though I do all the time; the occasional great martini; a cold beer on a hot day, pair of jeans, quality time with my friends, family, my Kindle, floating around on my boat, collecting whatever grabs my attention, and so many more things than I could possibly list here.
I'm looking for the kind of man who is comfortable grabbing a burger and a beer at the pub - or traveling the world together. Someone who can enjoy sleeping in on occasion, spending time with friends, time together in front of the fire, or some time apart - only to look forward to being back together. Someone who understands that a great relationship is built on love, strength, support, friendship, and loyalty. When it comes down to it, the most important thing I'm looking for is the love of my life. I'd like to meet someone who knows how to make me weak in the knees by just by looking at me.
