My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Early this year I disabled my profile because it wasn't really helping me meet new people. In a moment of optimism I restarted it. I recently had to miss a concert I really wanted to see because it involved a road trip and I couldn't get anyone else to come along. I just think it would be nice to have someone to do those kinds of things with me. I also like to read draw, and play my guitar.
I love most animals except mosquitoes and some little yappy dogs
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to figure out ways to gradually improve it. I have a job that's OK but I'm looking for something better.

My friend and I have made three albums and a fourth will be coming out soon. A few songs have been played on a few radio stations but nothing has really come of it. That's fine with me because I basically just treat it as a fun hobby project. If you want to know about it please ask. I don't want to be one of those guys that won't shut up about his band though...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being critical
Drawing weird stuff
Figuring out counter-intuitive music production software that lacks a good manual
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall and lanky. Often people guess I'm in my mid 20's and they're surprised when they find out my real age. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Gene Wolfe, Jeff VanderMeer, Cormac McCarthy, George R.R. Martin, David Foster Wallace, China Mieville, Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis
Movies: David Lynch, Coen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Alejandro Jodorowsky (also like his comics)
Music: Way too much to list. Right now it's a lot of Berlin-era Bowie, Eric B. and Rakim, The Pretty Things, Yo La Tengo, Steve Reich, Tibetan monks, migrating geese, Odessey and Oracle, Black Sabbath, Sun Ra
Food: Indian and Thai although except for being a vegetarian I'm not picky
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm reading this question as having "unless I drastically changed my lifestyle" at the end of it.

friends: the one thing on the list I seriously couldn't do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to apply Stridex pads to the chin of a nervous cat
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I go out it's usually during a weekday. I game at the friendly local game store or go out to eat. I'm not much of a bar patron. Not a lot of cool activities going on in this area.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My cat has a really bad case of acne and I'm not even joking.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Like I said, I'd like to meet someone who likes to hang out and do fun stuff. Romance would be fantastic, but it's not necessary. If you want company for dinner, I'll be happy to join you.

I know you ladies have to deal with some horrible messages on this site, so I'd just like to make a few statements...
1. I'm not interested in explicit sexual talk with new acquaintances. An example: I say "You look nice in your profile pictures", You say "Gee Thanks!" I then fail to say something super creepy and instead ask how your day has been.
2. If you're not interested, even after we've gone out a time or two, PLEASE feel free to say so. I'm a big boy and I promise I won't cry or keep bothering you.
3.Also please don't message me looking for a date if you are less than a month out of a relationship. It's none of my business but you probably shouldn't be on a dating site at all. If you want to talk, that's cool.
