During the day, I try to make a living as a cinematographer and work in film production. At night, I geek out and work on my own films.

I like finding new bands to listen to, finding older bands on vinyl, and dancing in the street. Every now and then, I'll spend hours making a new mixtape/playlist until the wee hours of morning.

I enjoy biking along the L.A. River and going out to the San Gabriel Valley for tasty food. I use a 15 year old mountain bike, so no fixie club for me.

I tend to drive around a lot, so I listen to NPR, lots and lots of KPCC and KCRW. This leads me into passionate political bursts of fist shaking and swerving around the highway.

Putting together mix cd's or tapes (now just spotify playlists).
Losing at board games.
Singing Brit-pop songs at Karaoke.
Kicking things over.
Getting violently happy.

I sneeze at everything (trees, grass, flowers, cats, dogs, etc).

Music:
Dream-Pop, Dreamwave, Shoegaze, NuGaze, Postpunk, JAZZ, stuff with a beat or noisy guitars. "Pet Sounds" and "Unknown Pleasures" are somewhere on my top 5 favorite albums.

Films/TV:
I have a soft spot for westerns, noir (TCM!), neu wave, or stuff in foreign languages. Godard, Tarkovsky, the Dardenne Brothers, Wong Kar-Wai and Antonioni films go on repeat on the DVD player.

I've been watching a lot of TV nowadays. Been diving into Justified, The Hour, The Newsroom (not so good) and finished up Homeland (boo season 2). Love Deadwood, Mad Men, Game of Thrones and secretly watch Downton Abbey.

Book(ish):
I <3 Haruki Murakami (typical, yes... but oh so good!).
Raymond Carver and J.G. Ballard are up there.
Adrian Tomine is my hero.

Foods:
A good bowl of noodles will make my day (Pho, Boat Noodles, Beef Noodles, Ramen, and occasionally Instant).

I was vegetarian for five years and then quit a few years back. That's all I'll say about that.

Also, basil & ginger are very awesome.

a) Thrown a tambourine against a wall and it bounced to hit a friend in the head...
b) Accidentally punched a friend in the eye with a mic...
c) Sang and fist pumped to Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill"

...you like to travel and a road trip to the spiral jetty sounds rad.
