I am modest, pedantic, and dry-witted.

My Self-Summary

I like candlelight dinners and long walks on the beach and when I say long walks I mean LONG walks on the beach. I've met people before who claim to like long walks on the beach but after an hour or so they start in with, "I'm tired" or "don't you think we should head back now" or "it's getting kind of dark out here." Bring a tent.

Also, all of that was a joke.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm just trying to work hard and have some fun too; balance is very important.

I’m really good at

Bowling. I'm not professional good, but I'm definitely above average. I suppose there are other things I can do better than bowl, but I'm fine with this answer.

The first things people usually notice about me

You'd probably have to ask them but if I had to guess, I would say girls notice my eyes first.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: "2001: A Space Odyssey" (probably one of the best hard science fiction books of all time), "Crime and Punishment" (I like the classics) and "Fight Club" (or really anything by Chuck Palahniuk).

Movies: Well, there's Requiem for a Dream, Reservoir Dogs, Green Street Hooligans, There Will be Blood, Gangs of New York, Trainspotting and the Hangover to name just a few off the top of my head. I also enjoy almost everything by Woody Allen, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese.

Music: I like all kinds of music but some of my favorite bands at the moment are Radiohead, the Raconteurs, the Black Keys, the Decemberists, Frightened Rabbit, and Phoenix. I also like a lot of jazz and blues but not really the contemporary stuff, I'm more into Duke Ellington's style of jazz and Muddy Waters' type of blues.

The six things I could never do without

Six? There are a lot of things I could do without, but my MacBook would probably one of the harder ones to give up. And along with that, internet access would also be a necessity. (And wouldn't you know it, not a week after I write this, the logic board on my Mac needed to be replaced and I was without my laptop for over a week, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be)

Other than that, I could do without pretty much anything. I guess I'm just not that materialistic or needy.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

I think about lots of things. I enjoy learning new things and then reflecting on them. For example, lately I've been thinking a lot about the differences between keynesian and classical economics and how much government intervention in the economy is really necessary. I don't usually come up with a lot of answers, but I like thinking about the questions.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either out with friends or at home doing nothing (I know, it's lame).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I have two little chihuahuas and I love them... a lot.

You should message me if

you're a pretty girl looking for a nice guy to hang out with.
