My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey all,

I've been on here before and had some good times and some bad times. Once again I feel like seeing who, if anyone, is out there and as I don't seem to find myself in many social situations this feels like a reasonable alternative.

Seeing as what I get up to goes in the next box, I'd like to state right here roughly what I'm hoping to get out of this.
I'd like companionship, in whatever form that takes: a good conversation, some fun activities together. Generally I'd like to start a chat and then meet up before too long, in the past it's seemed the fastest way to get a good sense of a person. If after that we go our separate ways, or end up becoming friends due to mutual interests, then that's cool. It's just a matter of being straight forward really.

I'd really like to have someone with which to go camping or photographing. (If disappearing into the woods together on a first date sounds a little sketch, I agree, I mean after some length of actual dating).

So sharing a couple of my interests, or at least an interest in my interests would be nice. I would hope you'd look for the same in me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm in fourth year at Conestoga, I'm in a program that does hardware and software for embedded electronics. I'm pretty passionate about it and will likely have something related to it running through my head most of the time.

I've split school and work this year at the cost of delaying graduation, but as a result I get to continue work on a project in the Applied Research department that I find both exciting and challenging.

When I'm not up to either of those things I'm out trying to increase the amount of exercise I'm getting or looking for something to photograph. I've been doing mostly wildlife shots for the past couple months and I'm pretty hooked. The downside is that something interesting could show up on the drive between home and the store, as a result you WILL have to move the camera from the passenger seat before sitting down.

I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I think I'm pretty good at amusing myself. I enjoy a bit of surrealism every now and then. If you say "guess what"... I will.

I'm also quite proud of some of the skills I put to use at work, soldering tented surface mount resistor packs doesn't really feel like a skill that will attract attention on a dating site. (I went ahead and put it in there because now I'm curious).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will make it my mission to walk up to strangers and ask.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Bit of a movie lover.
I will want to watch nearly anything once. Anything.

As for shows I keep amused with:
Game of Thrones
Big Bang Theory
Parks and Recreation
Vikings

but there's nothing quite like a few episodes of QI or Nevermind the Buzzcocks before bed.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My camera gear
A sense of direction
A good sleep
Dry socks
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
1) Working late
2) Going to the gym
3) Cooking dinner
4) Watching a movie
5) All of the above
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm going to admit something that truly bothers me. I simply HATE when people gossip or discuss personal matters in public, it just feels so out of place.
I'm sure the nice octagenarian couple at the adjacent table don't want to hear about what it was "that fucking bitch Janet" said to you yesterday. If you'd like to discuss that type of thing either pick a better place or lower your voice, there may be kids around...or worse, adults. ;)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You should really message me if you've looked at my profile and hope that I message you, that'd be a clear-cut case.

Really though the typical "guys spam email, girls sift through mountains" method kinda sucks, I'm all for moving away from that.

If you don't feel like reading my profile and prefer to get acquainted by chatting then that's cool too, nice personal touch.
