My self-summary
I once had an art print of a small golden dragon who was in love with a phoenix-shaped weathervane. The title was, He Loves Not Wisely But Too Well. That's where the screen name comes from. Make of that what you will.

My greatest childhood dilemma was wondering who I would rather be: He-Man rescuing the Sorceress when she was enchained by Skeletor or the Sorceress chained up waiting for He-Man to cut the shackles open.

I never arrived at a satisfactory conclusion. That may have been my earliest awareness of being bisexual.

I haven't been on an actual date with a girl in years, though, since it seems like girls are harder to come by. But I was motorboated and/or kissed by 2 women around last Halloween when I showed up at a straight bar in my goddess costume. Cleavage apparently has rather universal appeal.

I get bored easily but am also relatively easily entertained, which sounds like a contradiction but isn't. :)

I like painting, writing, poetry, being outside, reading, going to the movies, karaoke, and drinks n dancing.

Ideally, I'm looking for a long-term open relationship, but I'm not opposed to having some fun along the way.
What I’m doing with my life
Teaching, writing, snagging pix off Google image search for fun and inspiration, trying to expand my horizons.

And I know I missed the boat on the whole blogging trend, but I do have a blog where I write about what books I've been reading. Here it is:

http://wereadtoknowthatwearenotalone.wordpress.com.
The title came from a quote I found online. I forget who said it though there's a reference with their name on my "About" page.

I also started a second, offshoot blog just talking about my life, which I'm hoping may interest a wider audience. No luck so far, but I've only just started. Here's that one:

I’m really good at
writing, both creative and analytical... and I think I'm a decent semi-abstract painter, too.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my laugh, my charm which seems easygoing but actually conceals some inner self-consciousness and social anxiety. I was the weird girl in high school. Everybody liked me anyway, but it took me a LONG time to figure that out.

AND my boobs.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm back in the habit of borrowing from neighborhood Little Free Libraries. The last 2 books I finished from one were The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka and The Summer We Fell Apart by Robin Antalkek.

But I'm also treating myself to books from Barnes and Noble. I bought The Fault in Our Stars and finished it in 2 days. It would've been one but I had work in the morning and needed some sleep.

I read tawdry romance novels from time to time, too, though, typically involving vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, etc. Not like the Twilight books- these actually have sex scenes. That was my major complaint about the Twilight series. Who wants a frigid vampire boyfriend? Not me!

Skins (UK)-- just discovered it on Netflix. Brooklyn 99, Almost Human, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Bob's Burgers, The Big Bang Theory, Archer, Blue Mountain State, Sleepy Hollow, 2 Broke Girls because I have a huge crush on the brunette, vampire and werewolf movies in general, especially Near Dark and Lost Boys.

Lately I've just been cruising the FM dial on my car radio looking for something good. Usually I am furiously pirating music through various means and burning CD's for myself, but I've been a bit busy. I go through a lot of phases musically. I'd say I'm in between favorite artists/bands at the moment, though if you know of something awesome, let me know so I can give it a listen.

Food, I am very very open minded. I might draw the line at chocolate covered ants and scorpion lollipops. But I did try garlic-flavored chewing gum. And I liked it.
The six things I could never do without
My favorite pair of jeans, access to am/fm radio, some of my favorite CD's from my teen years (no IPOD ON ME!), notebook, writing and drawing supplies, color
I spend a lot of time thinking about
lots of stuff... debating various truths about my favorite superheroes (currently Batman and Wolverine), what to read next, what new restaurants to try, how to have fun without spending a ton of money.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully not working on work. Painting, writing, hanging out, going out, watching a movie, reading.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've got 4 tattoos, one of which covers most of my back. The back piece is actually 2 tats in one, but the second one was done as an extension of the first.
I’m looking for
  • Everybody
  • Ages 21–40
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, casual sex
You should message me if
You feel like it. OR if you feel like reading some interesting fiction... I'm always looking for readers! I've got everything from fan fiction smut to historical fiction based on a real murder from 18th century England! And I'm more than willing to share via Google Docs or email. OR if you know of a really cool musical artist/band that I should check out.

I'm sincere about trying to make new friends as well as possibly make some kind of romantic connection. Just because I'm bi doesn't mean you need to be. And I don't consider everyone I meet to be a potential sex partner, regardless of their gender. At least I TRY not to. ;) LOL...

Seriously, it would be nice to have more people just to hang out with. I moved recently, as did my former wingwoman, and I'm looking to meet some new people. Not sure if this website is the ideal setting for that kind of thing, but I figured it couldn't hurt. So don't hesitate to say hello if you think we'd have fun meeting for coffee or slamming shots and singing 80's hairband karaoke or whatnot.
