My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm an art student from Maryland; I'm studying illustration and english at the Rhode Island School of Design. I'm slightly cynical, mostly cheerful, and probably a little too punny.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'd like to be a freelance illustrator and/or an art director eventually. Marrying my interest in narrative with visual literacy is what I'm passionate about.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a dork, drawing/sketching/painting, writing, reading, knitting, and playing the piano. Did it competitively in high school, miss it like crazy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Usually the variety of facial expressions I make, shortly followed by/tied with my lipstick color. Lately I've been going back and forth between a classic red and a really dark purple.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I'll read just about anything, but here are some of my favorites: The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova, anything by Michael Chabon, I Am the Messenger by Markus Zusak, Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman, the Sandman series of comics, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.

movies: Amelie, The King's Speech, Bridesmaids, the Princess Bride, the Secret of Kells, James Bond films, Studio Ghibli films, Silver Linings Playbook, Chocolat, the 2011 Jane Eyre, the Thief and the Cobbler, and anything with really nice cinematography that I can pause and sketch.

tv: Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, Scrubs, Buffy, BTAS, the Inbetweeners, Castle, Bob's Burgers, Parks and Rec, Orange is the New Black, anything Anthony Bourdain does (Parts Unknown, No Reservations), Merlin, and Futurama, to name a few.

I love just about any kind of music. I really dig Debussy, Liszt, and Chopin though.

food: Honestly, if it's cooked well, I'll eat it. I'm 3rd generation irish though, so I have a bit of a thing for potatoes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
a good book
some knitting to work on
well worn shoes
a sketchbook/pens
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the issues going on in the world and the many intentions and meaning behind works of art and literature. I love trying to understand an author's intentions in a novel, drama, or painting.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at rehearsal, going out to see a movie with some friends, reading a book, or doing homework.
