I am talkative, gregarious, and jovial.
My Self-Summary
This is my first foray into online dating, so I'm not sure exactly
what I'm supposed to say here. I'm in my late 20s and a fairly new
librarian. I like to
read,
people-watch at coffeeshops,
outdoor activities (
camping,
hiking,
boating). I'm currently stuck in Beloit,
WI and am originally from Indiana. I love my job and my work
environment, but the city leaves much to be desired, especially
since I moved here from Milwaukee. I frequently find myself going
back there and couch-surfing. Let's see, what else... I'm a big
concert-goer -- I'll go to shows as a loner if necessary (I'm not
yet at the point where I'm the creepy old guy in the back of the
bar).
Random factoids: Halloween is my favorite holiday. I'm one of the
few people I know who actually likes meatloaf. I value education
and intellectual curiosity. I like museums, antique shops, and
other places where you can find old things (but not nursing homes
-- those are creepy). I once went caving many years ago -- I'd love
to do it again, but haven't had the opportunity. More to come as I
think of it....
What I’m doing with my life
Working. Otherwise, I read a lot and hang out in Milwaukee on
weekends.
I’m really good at
Playing chess, crossword puzzles, drinking coffee... I'm also
decent at trivia. And talking. I'm not sure what else I can say
without sounding full of myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'll have to remember to ask folks that! I get occasional
compliments on my smile. I've also been described as "animated," so
for whatever that's worth...
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Well, I'm a librarian, so listing my favorite books could take
forever. I like Kurt Vonnegut, Cormac McCarthy, Neil Gaiman, Sylvia
Plath, Tom Franklin, Katherine Dunn, Erik Larson, Edward Gorey,
Jonathan Safran Foer, and a bunch of others!
Same with movies, though since I was a kid I've always loved Tim
Burton.
It always seems pretentious to list millions of bands on these
things. I have a weakness for violin, cello, banjo, and pianos.
Recently, I've been listening to O'Death, Rasputina, Woven Hand,
Those Poor Bastards, White Ghost Shivers, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Friends, coffee, books, music, laughter, and Icebreakers mints. In
that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I want to be when I grow up.
On a typical Friday night I am
In Milwaukee with my friends, perhaps playing darts at a relaxed
bar. Otherwise, maybe just hanging out and catching up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I brush my teeth in the shower. And that's all you're getting, so
ha!
You should message me if
you can read this.
