My self-summary
This is a long profile...

I'm a lot of things, and it'd take far too long for you to read them all. In short, though, I am: principled, a geek, a nerd, an academic, industrious, long-winded, and a Roman.

I have: deep personal issues, four piercings, one tattoo, a puppy, and a strong desire to build and maintain long-lasting relationships.

I'm looking for: friendship. For me and my lifestyle, my love(r)(s) will be my closest, most trusted friend(s).

I'm not actively seeking to delve into a polyerotic (or polyamorous, if you prefer) relationship right now; I am, however, quite open to the possibility.

I also don't really use the term "pansexual" to describe myself, but some folks tell me it's more fitting than "bisexual", since I find that there's some gravitational attraction (I'm not sure the direction) between myself and the trans- community. Here's my outlook: Gender identity is irrelevant, as is anatomy; your personality, and what you do with the same, are the only relevant factors.
What I’m doing with my life
I work, game, and sleep occasionally. Outside that, I'm usually researching, reading, and/or writing. I'm an academic nerd and pretty much of a home body.

I'm perpetually in and out of school; when I'll complete anything remains a mystery.
I’m really good at
... having a terrible sense of humour. Aside from that, though, I'm pretty good at bidirectional Latin translation, teaching, interpersonal communication, baking, walking, driving, conducting research, developing theories, financial planning, and a small handful of other things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmmm.... This will be a pretty rough go at it. There's no favourite book for me. I have a pretty long wishlist, though, which says more about me and my interests than anything I could write, I think. I don't do much in the world of fiction (though I value creativity). Most of my wishlist consists of books in history, psychology, religion, education, philosophy, and such. I don't really have much of a favourite movie; I don't watch too many, though I do like John Wayne movies.

For music, by genre, in no particular order, and not exhaustively: trance, electronica, classical, rock, jazz, blues, ambient, new age, metal, industrial, techno, and recently, dubstep. I'm currently in the trance kick; we'll see how long it lasts before I switch back over to something else. By artist, in also no particular order, and equally not exhaustively: old school Metallica, The Crüxshadows, ATB, Tiesto, Johnny Cash, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, The Cure, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Tori Amos, BT, Alice in Chains, CCR, Fleetwood Mac, Enya, Enigma, Eric Clapton, Seether, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, VNV Nation.

Food is by far the easiest. I love grains (bread, pasta, rice, pasta, pasta, pasta), so I love Italian and Chinese food. Ceres (the goddess) is certainly a patron of mine (as I like to say, we have a special relationship). Food is awesome.
The six things I could never do without
Spes, ultima dea (extra points if you you get this)
Mens sana
Corpus sanum
Vegetables, pasta, and other such earthen gifts (dona Cereris, as I call them)
The essentials (water, air, sunlight, baseball, clothing, shelter, you know)
My puppy

Of course, having some of these necessitates having others, so... yeah.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Religion, philosophy, education, the future, kids, my dog, my (few) friends, politics, my finances, goals, and (why not) sex.
On a typical Friday night I am
almost assuredly, sitting at home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that, as I saw noted on another profile, I have baggage. I'll explicitly try not to drop it on you in any way, but know that I have it.

Or... that I'm a brony.
I’m looking for
  • Guys and girls who like bi guys
  • Ages 21–35
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, activity partners, long-distance penpals, casual sex
You should message me if
you want: to chat, or have coffee, or go to a park and feed the ducks, or whatever. Really, you should message me if you're interested in anything I could offer.

Because I'm terrible at initiating contact, I'll apply here something I saw on another profile....

If you're interested in meeting for coffee, tea, or something such, but unsure about making the first move, you could send a message with nothing more than: "Hi! I'd like to talk with you over tea some time." If you'd prefer to meet over, say, feeding the ducks at a park: "Hi! I'd like to go feed the ducks some time with you." (You'll learn very quickly how fond I am of those sweet duckies.)

Or, if you really think we'd make good friends: "Hi! I think we could be friends."

I'm not much interested in casual sex, fuckbuddies, or such... only if, (again, ONLY if) a real friendship is involved. Friendship is more important to me. If you're still interested, but still wavering on that first move, you could send something like: "Hi! I think we could be good friends, and friends in the bedroom too."

Feel free to combine any of the above; I absolutely will respond to any of the above, or anything like it.
