My self-summary
Hello there. I consider myself a pretty normal guy. I've been living in New York for about 9 years and I have a great group of friends. I'm in advertising, which can tend to lead to some late nights, but in the end I am definitely someone who works to live; not someone who lives to work. What else? ... I love dogs; I enjoy "fitness", from running to working out to swimming, rock climbing (not avid, but would love to get more into it); skiing; golfing ... and speaking of great outdoor activities, I don't plan on living in the city forever. Things could always change, of course, and I've already been here this long, but I'd prefer to get some space, a backyard, and the aforementioned dog at some point (it's probably going to be a Labrador, if you were curious). I'm originally from upstate NY (big Syracuse fan). I've decided that 4 weddings a year should not be my lifetime vacation plan and am heading on a trip to Barcelona-Prague-Budepest this summer, so I'm freaking out about how great that will be. Also possibly going to Costa Rica in the Fall. Can't wait to hang with some monkeys.

I won't say I'm an amazing cook, but I like to do it every now and then. On most weekends, I head out for beverages with friends and co-workers, but am certainly okay with balancing that out with more wholesome fun. Movies, dinners, or anything else you can name. I consider myself to be a pretty funny guy and pretty laid back.

And I suppose that brings me to what I'm looking for in a girl. I've had a couple serious relationships now and I think I know pretty well what type of people I mesh best with. Soooo, if you were also laid back and funny (very subjective, I know), that would be amazing. What's better than someone sexy who can make you laugh often? Not much. I love a dry, slightly quirky sense of humor. I tend to be into the skinny/athletic types so I apologize if that's not you and you read all the rest of this, but it is what it is. I think physical/sexual attraction is an important thing in a relationship. Beauty on the outside is great, but it must be complemented by a big heart. I can appreciate a friendly debate but I don't always have to be right, and you should feel the same way. I'm able to see both sides of an argument (assuming there are two good sides), and I appreciate that in others as well.

Soooo, yeah. Funny. Laid back. Intelligent. Into exercise. Kind. I'm looking for the total package, and I want you to feel the same way about me. That's the point, right? But maybe we just start with a beverage...
What I’m doing with my life
I'm in advertising as an Associate Creative Director. So I write the words, concept creatively, etc. It's a decent gig as far as having to work everyday goes.

I'm trying to work on a side project in my spare time (it's slow going), and I may try to run my first ever marathon this year (the NYC) so I suppose that would take up some of my mornings starting this spring/summer. Other than that, just enjoying my spare times with friends and family when possible.
I’m really good at
juggling? This is a weird question to answer. This is like the job interview question, "Where do you need to improve most?" Then you have to answer, "Sometimes I care TOO much about my job." It's just awkward. I like to run, make people laugh, have a good conversation, sleep in when possible. "Vacuum. Rhythm. Exacerbate. Chronological." I'm good at spelling?
The first things people usually notice about me
I will probably crack a joke fairly soon into a conversation, so people probably first notice that I can be sarcastic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Thanks to a change in my commute, I've done more reading over the past year and that's been pretty great. So I recently read the Hunger Games trilogy, the Dragon Tattoo trilogy, The Road, and now I'm reading Dan Brown's last book Lost Symbol.

I love movies and TV. So if it's on AMC, FX, HBO, or if it's a quality comedy, we can discuss. I am super excited for Game of Thrones to come back.

I'm also a big music fan. Love everything from rap to rock to indie, electro, a little country, etc. Last 3 concerts were the Lumineers, Passion Pit and Mumford & Sons ... Considering Governor's Ball and have tickets to Sonar, which is some weird-ass electronic music festival in Spain. So that will put my slightly out of my element in a great way... Some of my other current favorites include The Killers, Kings of Leon, Head and the Heart, Of Monsters and Men, 2 Chainz, M83, the Kooks, Gotye, Jay Z, etc. etc... I'm all over the map.

Food: If it's not kale, I'll probably eat it.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order:

1) Music (Rdio subscriber here)
2) Running shoes
3) DVR
4) Buzzfeed.com (it's just endless entertainment)
5) Friends and family
6) Guacamole is pretty vital, I'd say. So is vodka. Hmmm. That's me trying to keep a life balance, I suppose.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
being more productive. Trying to get to a beach. How to get out of work by 6PM. Where this amazing person is that I have yet to meet. Why 30 more minutes of sleep always seems to outweigh exercising before work.
On a typical Friday night I am
probably out with co-workers/friends, and probably in the East or West Village, seeing where the night takes us. That's "single me", anyways, haha.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Even if I never get a date on this thing, I will have found the entertainment value of answering the questions worth the time. They're kind of addicting... Alright, gotta go burn a flag. Talk to you later.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating
You should message me if
you think we'd have fun and/or have chemistry. If you read all this and think that we're after the same thing, and that I'm offering what you're looking for/vice versa ... then might as well send a message.
