When I was 16, I wanted to see the world. I marched into my parents' room and told them I wanted to be an exchange student. And so, 6 months later a terrified teenager from the suburbs of Chicago stumbled off a plane in Brussels, Belgium and into the adventure he had always wanted. Since then I have lived in Tournai, Belgium, Montreal, Quebec and Tuebingen, Germany. I speak fluent French, and it is a huge part of who I am. Although I studied history in college, and loved every minute of it, my altruistic side was screaming for an outlet. So I became a paramedic.

I have a very unique work schedule that rotates every 7 weeks. I also work at night. That being said, I am always game for a picnic, a drink, a new restaurant, or a jump in the car to head out of town. Preferably somewhere that I can anchor my climbing rope to.

Sometimes I talk to myself in French, so be forewarned. I'm also a democrat, so I would hide your taxable income :)
