I'm a single twenty something yr. old who is trying to figure out how to meet other single people in ATX without OKc...until then I'm here. I work in the CJS. I love the simple things in life like craft beer, live music, and the outdoors.
I googled extroverted introvert today to see if it's an actually a thing. It is (according to the Internet) and there are several characteristics that I feel appropriately describe who I am now days. I have no problem adapting to social settings, no matter how painful it may be inside-I can adapt. Most people who know me would describe me as outgoing. However, I find myself needing "recharge" periods where I like to sit in silence or have absolutely nothing on the agenda that involves human interaction.
What I’m doing with my life
I think my extroverted introvert personality has a lot to do with my career. I basically make a living out of building rapport with complete strangers in the most traumatic points in their life, in order to assess their needs and provide them with appropriate support. Im passionate about what I do and I made a career out of helping people, thinking my work would change the world, and have found that the work has actually changed me.
I’m really good at
Having complete strangers open up to me.
Managing to piss off my fantasy football league with my freakishly good luck.
Frustrating myself and others with my scatter brain syndrome (something I continue to work on).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shows: All the great ones, of course. ONB, HoC, GoT, Always Sunny, Firefly, etc But I like being introduced to new ones, particularly sci-fi because I wouldn't choose it on my own.
Update: I have started Battlestar Galactica and I have to say so much more in my life makes sense!
Books: Malcolm Gladwell and Amy Tan
Movies: I like incredibly depressing documentaries on Netflix and Redbox is wonderful for Ridiculous Cage Movies and Liam Neeson's particular set of skills.
The six things I could never do without
my g-ma's black veracruzano coffee
Lily Encarnacion Morelos
job that allows me to make a difference
the house that built me
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The forever struggle of finding balance in life.
On a typical Friday night I am
toss up between: craft beer, live shows, and friends...or pjs, cozy with my dog and netflix or redbox. Also, attempting to play shooters. I suck at them, but I'm determined to improve my gaming skills.
