Having recently graduated from college, I am enjoying the "real adult" life while simultaneously trying to figure it out. Moving to Philadelphia is my first time living in a city, and a few months in, I still love it. The history, the culture, the fact that Philly (Center City, at least) is easy to get around... all reasons to love living in Philadelphia.

Music is my life, but not garage band style or listening to music all the time (though I tend to do that). I'm a classical performer, percussion specifically, and it's in practicing and performing that I find my joy. That's not how I spend all my time, though - reading, watching movies, hanging out with friends all rank high on my list of fun things to do.

My religion is also an important part of me, and I have been attending church since I was very young. I am both Christian (Episcopalian) and openminded and welcoming of all - my home church in Austin, Texas was founded by hippies in the 1950s, and it hasn't lost its hippie charm. I think I fit right in with the progressive-thinking and welcoming congregation.

I tend to be devoted to anything that's important to me, whether it's my music, my friends, my family, my church, my work. If it's worth my attention, then I give it all my attention. I'm the same way in relationships, so if you don't like being with someone who holds you to be one of the most important things in her life, look elsewhere. :)

books: LOTR, His Dark Materials series, Harry Potter, most any historical fiction

movies: LOTR again, James Bond (but not the Timothy Dalton ones), 10 Things I Hate About You, and sometimes I just need to watch Disney

music: far too much to list... Carmina Burana by Carl Orff, Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies just to name a small portion

food: pasta with really good sauce, ice cream
