I enjoy music either live or reproduced on good speakers. I like good conversation that sometimes sounds academic. I am a sci-fi fan, tech geek, and avid reader.

I love to bike ride, look at the night sky, and take care of my house plants. I usually have a couple of projects going on, and sometimes I build models. I'm feminist. I'm always trying to rethink the ways I interact with the (my) world and how I interact with others and their own worlds.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm in a Masters program specializing in human computer interaction (HCI), and plan on applying to PhD programs this fall ('09), but also applying to industry as well. We'll see what kind of jobs are available... I am an activist at heart and always look for ways to impact gender, race, and class inequalities.

Humans and the human condition. I'm an anthropologist, so this is pretty typical. I actually find it enjoyable. I also think about ways I can reduce my impact on the environment but I don't think of it as a lot of time, just a state of mind.
