My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
* I am currently studying abroad in Brazil until July. I'm having the time of my life all the while trying to "find myself" and whatnot. :) *
I believe I am far from the average girl. I moved to Raleigh for about 5 years and now I'm back and somehow still feel like the new girl in town.
Here are some things you should know about me:
My friends are my family, I see no separation. I hold doors for old people, but cut others off on the highways. I have tattoos and I won't apologize for them. I own more band t shirts than I can count, but I like to dress up on occasion. I work hard, I play hard. I cannot walk in heels to save my life. I love the smell of autumn, burnt matches and library books. I believe in ghosts. I am a responsible procrastinator. I love to laugh and I love making people laugh. I'll sing really loud to songs on the radio, but only if I'm alone. I hate alarm clocks. I'm emotional. I can't stand liars or hypocrites. I tell crazy stories. I love attention, yet I enjoy my time alone. I'm passionate. I hate fakes. I will never label myself according to the music I listen to. I am spiritual. I love learning new things.
I like listing things in succinct sentences that sometimes do not make sense.
I can carry on a conversation about anything, because I believe opinions are free for a reason.
Things I like:
Photography, tattoos, scarves, bamboo, airports, poetry, old Hollywood, expressive eyebrows, books, eye contact, cute beards, eyes, blushing, stairwells, I-Can't-Sleep phone calls, origami, coffee, holding hands, cold weather, sweaters, seashells, weak knees, driving, movies, power-outtages, drive-ins and trees.

I am genuine, passionate, and awesome
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
That's what I'd like to know.
My appetite for adventure is overwhelming at the moment. I want to travel, go on roadtrips or just pretend to be a tourist in my own town.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love writing, but I have to feel inspired. I can't just force the creative process or else it will be absolute garbage. I've also started to sketch/draw again and I'm enjoying far.
I also feel like when someone states something they're "really good at" I immediately start to doubt their skills. So, here goes nothing...
Talking about nothing
Talking too fast
Drinking coffee
Taking pictures that have more character than expertise
Singing in the car
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My laugh. I feel like people usually hear me before they see me. I am often loud and usually laughing.
Other than that I would say either my smile or my eyes.
I feel that I come off as a very warm person but I have been told that when I'm concentrating really hard on something I look like I'm mad.
I feel that first impressions are ridiculously important, to me anyway, and I often find that I'm disappointed when people don't care.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Wow, where to begin.
Literary works of:
Robert Frost
Charles Bukowski
Kurt Vonnegut
Chuck Palaniuk
Jane Austen
Terry Goodkind
David Sedaris
JK Rowling
Shel Silverstein
Charles Dickens
etc etc

-I am obsessed with movies so couldn't even begin to tell you my favorite ones. Anything from the 80's(ie. The Breakfast Club) or any historical period piece (ie. Troy, Gladiator, etc) will do me just fine and also any films with: Jeff Goldblum, Robert Downey Jr or Mandy Patinkin.
I can't go without MallRats or Empire Records.
-I'm permanently bummed that I can never meet Orson Welles.
-I also have an unhealthy love for Paul Newman as he stars in one of my favorite movies of all time, Cool Hand Luke.

I don't think I have the strength to list all of my favorite bands. Music is definitely a huge part of my life, so here goes.
The Postal Service, The Avett Brothers, City and Colour, Queen, Blitzkid, Elvis Presley, Blink 182, Ben Folds, Say Anything, Against Me!, Gaslight Anthem, Farewell, Weezer, The Killers, The Kooks, Brand New, Third Eye Blind, Iron Maiden, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Johnny Cash, Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy, Bob Dylan, Death Cab For Cutie, Damien Rice, Rhett Miller, Envy on the Coast, A Day To Remember, Secret Lives of the Freemasons, Norma Jean, Emery, The Devil Wears Prada, Shiny Toy Guns, Bayside, Forever The Sickest Kids, Jay Z, Attack Attack, Emarosa, My Hero Is Me, Wrath and Rapture, TI, Black Gold, Explosions In The Sky, Bruno Mars, The Black Angels, etc etc

I love spicy foods.
I also love sushi, Italian food and a good southern meal.
I hate tomatoes. I can't decide what I hate more, the taste or the texture. Blech.
I also don't like lettuce on warm sandwiches. Lettuce, to me, should never be warm.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family
my friends
Dr. Pepper chapstick
The basics, really.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
-I'm trying to spend more time thinking about the present, the here and now. But I usually tend to think too much about the future and what may or may not happen.
Also, what's for dinner.

-On a more serious note, I also tend to think about my escape/life plan if and when zombies attack the mall while I'm working. I've worked it out so that I would find all the wire hangers possible and hoard them in the catwalk above all of the stores and forge them into weapons. I would also make said catwalk my temporary hiding place. As far as food and whatnot I might just prefer to become a zombie because honestly, mall food? Ugh.

-I also think that if I had a time machine I would go back to the 80s and become an international pop-star. Why, you ask? Because it was after the 70s(who wants to wear THAT much brown?) and before the 90s (where the invasion of having to be uber-attractive almost to the point of being unusually perfect ruins my chances of getting by on my personality alone HAH). Also because I love to dance like a fool to upbeat songs and I don't mind overdosing on hairspray.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I would like to say either working or out hanging out with friends. But lately its leaning towards usually working.
I enjoy being social but also love staying in.
I love getting friends together and going to watch a movie on its midnight premiere.
I used to love going to see bands play at all the amazing venues around town but lately my love has faltered.

I also love going on day trips to nowhere. Give me a good playlist and weird attractions/landmarks and we're set.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm terrified of failure and disappointment.
But I'm slowly learning to accept things as they are and quit freaking out about things that haven't even happened yet.
