My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Born and raised in the Bay Area, I have taken time away for school in Santa Cruz (if you even count that as not Bay Area) and a year in Michigan. I have found that this is definitely the place for me. It is home.

As a result of my very Bay Area/California upbringing, I'm way over here on the radical Left. I will not go down life paths that do not fit with my ethics and beliefs. I've checked my privilege, it turns out it was in this knapsack the whole time... I try to be mindful in everything that I do, without spiraling into navel-gazing analysis paralysis. Things need to get done, after all. As I'm fond of putting it bluntly "We all only have so many fucks to give. I try to use mine as best as I can."

I am a morning person for no reason other than the sun always manages to wake me up. Living a life where I never have to set an alarm clock is really rather wonderful. Morning is just such a lovely time to drink some tea and gather myself before heading off into the world.

Speaking of tea, I love tea, especially pu-erh. And coffee is pretty amazing. And while we're at it, whiskey, I think you should join this party too.

I tend to do the Burning Man thing, and revel in working on massive art installations for it, but that one event certainly does not rule my life.

And since we're on the topic of burning, I'm quite the fan of fire. Burning things just right is one of my specialties, for art or for warm-and-cozy, or just for something really pretty to stare at.

I spend my days in front of a computer, but due to a combination of speed-over-accuracy concerns and tab completion for what I'm typing, what I end up with is often riddled with mistakes, most often of the "character out of order" variety. What an ironic state of affairs.

I have been told that I make people laugh, by way of humor. If you find anything in my profile funny, you too will probably find me funny.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I spend lots of my time babysitting a bunch of computers for a pretty awesome website (you've heard of us). It's work that is exciting, challenging, at times very stressful, and ultimately extremely rewarding.

When not working, I find myself engaged with projects such as tinkering with some software, building a bicycle from all the little parts, or tending to my little desktop garden of succulents.

On a personal level, I am learning to take good care of myself. Setting boundaries. Shifting behavioral patterns to ones that serve me better. Generally growing as a full and balanced human.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The computers.
Mixing manhattans.
Ordering the best thing on the menu.
Listening when someone is speaking.
Not bein' judgy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Tao Te Ching, Siddhartha, and Hagakure. Or Tom Robbins. Or Neal Stephenson.

Hammerfall and Alestorm. Lupe Fiasco and Wu-Tang. Beats Antique and The Glitch Mob. Fuck Buttons and Biosphere. Laibach and... whatever goes with Laibach.

Millennium. Or just a good burrito.

I'm not much into watching things, to be honest. Not against it, but it's just not how I tend to spend my time.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- Love
- Family
- Friends
- Good Judgement
- Forward Momentum
- Love
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- Connecting seemingly disparate dots.
- Privilege.
- Attempts at making my subconscious patterns a little more conscious.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Toss-up between:
- Staying in and relaxing with housemates to be nice and rested to make the most of the weekend.
- Out for a dinner/happy hour with friend(s).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Perhaps not private, but a bit unusual: I've never gotten around to obtaining a driver's license! Instead I get by with planes, trains, boats, buses, a bike, a good pair of boots, the occasional taxi, the even more occasional hitchhiking, and the kindness of friends who are going my way.

Note: I don't actually dislike cats as stated in the little infobox, I'm just somewhat allergic.
