My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am fortunate in so many ways..
I have a wonderful, 14 year old daughter. Being a mom has been one of the greatest gifts I have had.As she gets older I have more time to myself, but of course she (and her ever growing list of activites!) is still number one in my life!

Lately I have been very fortunate to be spending time with horses, who are some of the most sensitive, magical beings on this planet! Not only does the sweet boy I lease teach me about myself, he gracefully carries me out into the beauty of nature ,even on the coldest, rainiest winter days!

I am and seek someone who has his material world figured out. I have a home, a wonderful garden, and love my work as a teacher of students who are learning English as a second language, and to kids who struggle academically or behaviorally. Though I work in public schools, I am greatly inspired by Waldorf education, and by those who think "outside the box".

I value relationships, as evidenced by my close long term friendships. I love the saying, "friends are family by choice".
Another quote by one of my favorite musicians...
I value social and environmental justice and like to believe that I do good work for positive change in my community.I love learning from and growing relationships with people from many cultural backgrounds.
I lean left, politically, and an awareness of social and environmental issues is important to me.

I have travelled the world, India being my absolute favorite place of all.It is home to me in a way that is hard to verbalize. Guatemala and now Burma are quick seconds. Last winter I spent a wonderful month in Thailand and Burma and really hope to return!
I am a committed Vipassana meditator, with a love and knowledge of Buddhist teachings.
I am healthy, eat mostly organically ,love to ski, hike, etc... and rarely watch TV. I do love to watch videos and movies, though they are not the ones you find easily in the mainstream theaters.
I am of Jewish descent, raised in NYC. I am intelligent, passionate, emotional, intense, very much a scorpio.

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am raising my teenage daughter, working at a job I (mostly) love, finding joy in my animal companions, hoping to start painting again now that I have more time Scheming how to get back to India and Burma!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
One of the things I do best is maintain friendships over many years. I really value community, and that is evidenced in the wonderful circle of close friends that I share so much of my life with. I'm good with kids, who I love, and animals. \
I am good at being adventurous and am an enthusiastic traveller!
