I have a wonderful, almost 13 year old daughter. Being a mom has been one of the greatest gifts I have had.As she gets older I have more time to myself, but of course she (and her ever growing list of activites!) is still number one in my life!
I love animals. I have two cats and a newly acquired rescue adog. Lately I have been spending time with horses, and working with and riding them is feeding my heart in a wonderful way! I love to be outdoors- especially when the sun shines!
I am and seek someone who has his material world figured out. I have a home, a wonderful garden, and love my work as a teacher. Though I work in a public school, I am greatly inspired by Waldorf education, and by those who think "outside the box".
You don't have to have lots of money, but please be financially stable .
I value relationships, community, nature, adventure, and compassion over material objects, though I do have more attachment to some of the material world than I would like to admit.I value social and environmental justice and like to believe that I do good work for positive change in my community.I love learning from and growing relationships with people from many cultural backgrounds.
I lean left, politically, and an awareness of social and environmental issues is important to me.
I find discomfort with the comforts of the U.S.
I have travelled the world, India being my absolute favorite place of all.It is home to me in a way that is hard to verbalize. Guatemala is a quick second.
I am a committed Vipassana meditator, with a love and knowledge of Buddhist teachings, though much of what is called "New Age" makes me cringe.I am healthy, eat mostly organically ,love to ski, hike, etc... and rarely watch TV. I do love to watch videos and movies, though they are not the ones you find easily in the mainstream theaters.
I am of Jewish descent, raised in NYC. I am intelligent, passionate, emotional, intense, very much a scorpio. Big plusses for you if you can make me laugh and be a good sounding board when I need one. I hope I can be the same for you. I like to get dressed up on occassion, but I am just as happy (maybe even happier!) in an old pair of jeans and a T-shirt, getting covered with earth in the garden or forest.
