I am a 25 year old student nurse from Manchester who loves life. I want to meet new people as my training means that I don't have as much time to socialise as I would like...nurse training is hard work! I qualify in a year's time and can't wait to get started.

I am training to be a nurse and qualify next year (September '10) and can't wait! I love what I do and have finally found the job for me. I hope to work in critical care and after what will probably be many years be a nurse consultant or something like that - I can never be just ordinary. Without ambitition and euthusiasm life would be boring!

Dressing, injections and nursey stuff! If anyone wants to volunteer for injection practice head this way...and I don't mean the rude type! ;-p I also have a secret talent for DIY so if you need any flat pack furniture doing I'm your girl!

Blonde hair and approachability. I often chat away to random people on the tram and bus - makes the journey a bit more intresting than just being sat there all quiet! I recently had a crazy bloke approach me on the tram in Manchester. He said when he saw me he thought I had big boobs and blonde hair so I must be a bimbo but changed his mind and thought I was lovely and clever by the end of the conversation. Think that was a kind of compliment...I think! You have to love Manchester...the people certainly are unique - and the oddballs always end up talking to me!

I love crime fiction in particular British novels. Mo Hayder and Mark Billingham are my favourites.

I like allsorts of movies and will give virtually anything a whirl. Even though I love Dirty Dancing and Pretty Woman I'm not a fan of chick flicks. I love the James Bond movies in particular the Daniel Craig movies and also Die Hard 4.0. Odd combination for a girl I know!

My Ipod has a mixture of tracks so I don't really have a favourite type - I like a bit of everything!

For food I like Italian, Tapas and Indian but I don't like chinese apart from noodles and sweet and sour and I also hate seafood although I do like white fish but am allergic to tuna. I'm full of contradictions!

I couldn't do without;

1. My family - I am a really loyal person and will do anything for my family. Call me sentimental but I think family are important - when things go wrong they are the only people there to pick you up and make everything better.

2. Make up - I'm not an over the top girly girl that plasters make up on but It's nice to make an effort and I only wear make up for myself noone else.

3. Friends - Since starting nursing I've met some wonderful friends. True friends should be there for you through the good times and the bad and I'm happy to say my friends are there for me.

4. Health - From my job I know that without health you have nothing. You can have all the riches in the world, a big house, nice car etc but without your health you are the same as everyone else - vulnerable and scared. I am thankful that I am well.

5. Career - As you can tell from my profile my career is a big part of who I am.

6. Money - I know I have put family, friends and health etc as more important than money but a few quid in your pocket can make life easier and more enjoyable!

what I will be doing and where I will be working when I qualify as a nurse. I also wonder what my life will be like in 5 years time!

Either working or at home. Manchester is rubbish on Fridays so its best to stay in and go out Saturday.
