My self-summary
I'm learning. There really isn't much to tell here. I'm amiable, extroverted, easygoing, and anything else you'd expect me to say about myself. I am eccentric and charming; most people who know me would say I'm funny, although I'm not entirely sure whether they're laughing at me or with me. If you're too serious or uptight, we will not get along. I'm not saying you can't be serious, but you shouldn't always be. Relax. It works wonders.
What I’m doing with my life
- I am writing a novel, and I have ideas for two others.
- Watching way too much NetFlix
- Playing board games
- Working with children with special needs
- Using bullet points
I’m really good at
figuring out how others feel, jumbles, kissing, heating and boiling water, keeping to a strict gremlins diet. (No food after 7:00pm. I do not spawn if you get water on me, but I do burn easily in light, so adhering to this diet isn't a terrible idea.)
I excel at being honest almost all the time.
I'm a damn good writer.
I'm a good listener and I'm really good at Resident Evil games.
I rock the semicolon. ;-)
And singing. I will blow your mind on karaoke night.
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh, I don't know, people just notice me, not parts of me. If you are at an open mic, maybe my voice while I'm reciting a piece I wrote. This applies for karaoke as well.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
(c)Music: I have and will ever love They Might Be Giants. I probably like a decent amount of stuff you like, too.

(d)Foods: I'm particular, but open to new stuff. Shanghai dumplings are the finest vegan dish I've ever eaten and I love them very much. I am, however, embracing my omnivorous nature. Although I will not impose my eating habits on anyone; if this is upsetting you should find someone with a diet that makes you comfortable.

(a)Books: Currently reading the George R.R. Martin series "A Song of Ice and Fire." He's a good fantasy writer, probably due to the "RR Effect." Case in point: J.R.R. Tolkien's hobbit books. Speaking of fantasy series, I got caught up in Brandon Sanderson's "The Stormlight Archive." Also, I read books by people whose name you would recognize. I will not throw names at you because this type of small talk is critical if we hit any awkward silences. I can go on and on about books you'd never known existed.

(b)Movies: Apparently, when I go out, I don't often see movies. That being said, I like classics like "The Maltese Falcon" and "Arsenic and Old Lace." I also like newer movies. I like comedies and dramas mostly, but occasionally you have to get a little less smart; just dumb down and watch something that doesn't make you think. That being said, if there aren't any superpowered people involved, I probably won't want to see an action movie.
The six things I could never do without
You'd be surprised what the average person can do without, and since I'm selling myself here, it's implied that I believe myself to be above average, so here are some things I can't do without, but neither can most people. Note: forgoing obvious necessities: food, water, etc.

The printing press, or any invention that helps facilitate the proliferation of information; the telephone (and, as an extension of this, the internet), which allows instant transmission of a message to almost anyone on Earth; space exploration, because we're doing a heck of a job keeping this planet alive; all mathematics, because we would still be in the Dark Ages without what math has allowed us to learn about our universe; the spoken and written word, because it's staggering to think of how primitive we would be without the manmade gift of language, and, as social creatures, is vital for communication; and what else? You tell me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My writing career.
How I can be better at being myself.
Driving cross-country to see what this nation is made of.
New karaoke songs to sing.
Designs for board games.
How my family is doing.
On a typical Friday night I am
With you. Right.
Actually I've been going to parties and art openings lately. It's a great deal of fun to be in a wide awake city on a Friday night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm willing to share anything private as long as I'm asked to. I'm a very open person, so inquire freely, at your own risk.
You should message me if
You want to. I'm always open to new adventures with new people.
