Hi! It's a little tough to start one of these...I guess I'll start with my job: I am a freelance writer and event coordinator/producer.

My non-job (though I must admit I spend the most time on) is music. I play guitar and piano and love to sing-- if I'm not playing I'm listening or am at a show.

I am not the type of girl who can bite her tongue if I disagree with you, I'm opinionated and can sometimes get fired up over a good debate whether it be about movies, politics, or your general perspective on life.

I love sports (in a genuine and non-people-pleasing type of way). I'm an avid Yankees/Giants fan, but enjoy watching all sports (except curling...because i just don't get it).

What I’m doing with my life

Right now it's a little unclear. I'm all freelance-- probably because I haven't figured out exactly what I want to do-- I'm trying to reconcile my love for the arts and my passion for social justice, particularly in Africa.

Guess I'll figure it out at some point.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favorite books: I love anything by Milan Kundera (particularly Immortality and The Unbearable Lightness of Being) and Zadie Smith. I like Chuck Klosterman and I can be a sucker for a great biography (I just finished Bob Dylan's "Chronicles" and it totally blew my mind). Also am a bit of a magazine junkie.

Music (to name a few): Pixies, Radiohead, The Beatles, Neutral Milk Hotel, Cold War Kids, Regina Spektor, Adele, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, MGMT, Arcade Fire and Yellow Fever to name a few.
