I'm a native New Yorker currently in Williamsburg and loving it. I grew up on Long Island and thankfully managed to escape without the accent and overall cockiness. I've always felt at home in NYC, but I definitely have some west coast mentalities in me and can see myself living out there one day (or Austin?).

Music is a huge part of who I am. I've been playing guitar for about 15 years and I really couldn't picture my life without it. Kind of a closet nerd too. Actually, scratch that, I'm a huge nerd.

I have a bunch of tattoos, and plan on getting a bunch more as well.

After about a decade in the fitness I just started a new job working with a neuroscience company. I'm really excited about the change and the chance to talk nerdy all day.

Laughing. Learning. Brushing my teeth. Listening to blues guitarists. Thinking about life on other planets. Quoting 90's comedy movies mid conversation.

I have no idea, but people seem to always ask me for directions no matter what state or country I'm in.

Books: Pale Blue Dot, The Demon-Haunted World...pretty much anything by Carl Sagan, The Little Prince (it's one of my tattoos, and will probably always be my favorite book), Killing Yourself to Live, The God Delusion, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, The Chalice and the Blade (go read this...seriously), Brave New World, Midnight's Children, This is Your Brain on Music, The Killer Angels, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, Origins, 1453, I Am America (And So Can You!), Lies My Teacher Told Me, The Dante Club, A Farewell to Arms, The Book Thief. I mostly read non fiction, but every now and then I have to throw in a novel or two.

Movies: Big Darren Aronofsky fan (Requiem for a Dream, Pi, The Fountain, The Wrestler) Friday Night Lights, Moon, Pan's Labyrinth, Memento, Food Inc., both Zeitgeist movies, Ink, Un Prophète, Wet Hot American Summer, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Tommy Boy, Cinema Paradiso, Dumb and Dumber, Rudy, Wedding Crashers, Anchorman, Glory, Eternal Sunshine.

Music: I pretty much need music to survive. Metal, blues and rock for the most part.

Food: I'm trying to open myself up to more seafood, but it's a slow process. Nothing beats some wine and a good meal.

Most likely it's something involving whiskey and friends. Definitely no clubs involved.
