My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a native New Yorker currently in Park Slope and loving it. I grew up on Long Island and thankfully managed to escape without the accent and overall d-bag qualities. I've always felt at home in NYC, but I definitely have some west coast mentalities in me and can see myself living out there one day.

Music is a huge part of who I am. I've been playing guitar for about 15 years and I really couldn't picture my life without it. Kind of a closet nerd too. Actually, scratch that, I'm a huge nerd.

I have a bunch of tattoos, and plan on getting a bunch more as well.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After about a decade in the fitness industry I just started a new job working with a neuroscience company. I'm really excited about the change and the chance to talk science all day.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Laughing. Learning. Brushing my teeth. Listening to blues guitarists. Thinking about life on other planets. Quoting 90's comedy movies mid conversation. Petting other people's dogs.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no idea, but people seem to always ask me for directions no matter what state or country I'm in.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Pale Blue Dot, The Demon-Haunted World...pretty much anything by Carl Sagan, The Little Prince, Neil Gaiman, Neil deGrasse Tyson, The Book Thief, Killing Yourself to Live, The God Delusion, When You Are Engulfed in Flames, The Chalice and the Blade (go read this...seriously), Brave New World, Midnight's Children, This is Your Brain on Music, The Killer Angels, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, Origins, 1453, I Am America (And So Can You!), Lies My Teacher Told Me, The Dante Club, A Farewell to Arms. I've been reading a lot of random Scandinavian mysteries lately.

Movies: Big Darren Aronofsky fan, Friday Night Lights, Moon, Pan's Labyrinth, Memento, Food Inc., both Zeitgeist movies, Ink, Un Prophète, Wet Hot American Summer, Metal: A Headbanger's Journey, Tommy Boy, Cinema Paradiso, Dumb and Dumber, Rudy, Glory, Eternal Sunshine.

Music: I pretty much need music to survive. Metal, blues and rock for the most part. Lately a lot of French Jazz playlists on Spotify.

Shows: X-Files. Battlestar Galactica. Breaking Bad. SVU.

Food: I'm trying to open myself up to more seafood, but it's a slow process. Nothing beats some wine and a good meal.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Other than the obvious friends/family

Some form of physical activity
Sunshine/Prospect Park

Oh, and Coffee.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything. But more specifically: music, food, space and the big bang, music again, running, parallel universes, medieval Europe (I wasn't joking about the nerd thing), why guys gel their hair and cover themselves in cologne to go to the gym, how desperately I want a pit bull.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out in the meat packing district - just kidding.

Most likely it's something involving whiskey and friends. Definitely no clubs involved.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a man crush on Stephen Colbert. is my favorite website.

I don't have a specific type, but I've always been drawn to a strong, feminist, independent and passionate woman.

You want to teach me French.

Bonus points if you'll let me drag you to a Planetarium since I'm super cool.
