I really like to smile and laugh. Positive energy is food for my soul.

I am so sore about The Mars Volta breaking up, but I guess it was time. I will frequently put Radiohead, Warpaint, Lana Del Rey, Siouxie, the Weeknd, or Jose Gonzalez on a playlist. Maybe some pop-y dubstep if I am feeling crazy dance-y. Music is incrediballs.

For reading, I am terribly simple. Forever burned from grad school, I won't read anything of substance unless I really have to. Give me Maurice Sendak, or Shel Silverstein; I don't give a shit what that sounds like. I love re-reading The Giving Tree whenever I can. I enjoy cruising the humor section of any book store. Who couldn't use a few more reasons to laugh in their life?

For obvious reasons, I enjoyed I Love You Man, Hot Fuzz, Bridesmaids, First Wives Club, and A Christmas Story. There are more, but I'll stop here.

I like most food that I try, and I will try almost anything once. I am not, however, too crazy about seafood for some odd reason. I will eat it, but it's not my favorite.
Mostly, I like things that are terrible for you. I have been trying to cook for myself for the past year (Pinterest is a sonofabitch) and its been very healthy around my apartment lately. I guess that's good.

If I had my way, I'd be balls deep in Beard Papa's pastries, or 'Lette Macarons…

and diabetes.

And obesity.

and it doesn't have to be Friday, either.
