I am an easy going guy but I like to be active. I like to be outside. I get along well in the city or on the trail (backpacking, camping, climbing). I like art (making, viewing etc) and I like to build things. I have landscaped a nice backyard (for a city lot in SoHud).

I work with teens in a high school as a therapist/social worker. Working with teenagers keeps you on your toes. I have a fun job that sometimes gets a little crazy but I also get summers off so it all evens out. I like to create and build stuff: home construction/rehab, art, music. I have been doing a lot of yoga. It keeps my head level and its a great work out. I haven't traveled much in the last year but I do like to travel. I've been allover the US. I really like the West Coast and the desert. I really need to get out of the country (in due time I guess).

I think I am pretty good at my job. I like to create, build and grow things. I am good with my hands. I am always conceptualizing, building and working on some project inside, outside, somewhere.

I am addicted to a few HBO series Game of Thrones, Boardwalk, Bill Maher Trueblood & Shameless. I honestly only watch TV on Sundays but it's good TV. I really like films. Some directors I like are Coen Bros, Jim Jarmusch, David Lynch, Terry Gilliam, Wes Anderson. I like comedies, indy films, documentaries. I have a list of films and actors that I do not like but we will save that for some other time. Sometimes I get very opinionated about Hollywood films.

I go out to see a lot of local music around town and occasionally catch a national/international act as well. I recently saw a band from the Sahara Desert at the Wexner. My taste ranges from jazz to noise and from loud rock/punk to americana roots and hip hop. I listen to a lot of local bands. I do not keep up with new music but I always stumble on to good stuff old, new, whatever. There is a lot of good music to be found.

I have been trying to read more. I have been reading some Kurt Vonnegut, Edward Abby, Dark Tower graphic novels, Non Fiction Science stuff like Brian Greene, Zen Mind Beginners Mind, Tao Te Ching and work related stuff.

I am a vegetarian and have been for about 15ish years. I have no problem with meat eaters just not my thing. I have been kicking around reintroducing fish into my diet. I like to check out old new restaurants around Columbus. There seems to always have someplace new popping up. I like to grill in the warmer months.

I could easily do with out my phone (I think) but I'm not sure about HBO. Just thinking about it cause withdraw pains.

My personality type is "thinker" so I think a lot. When I was young I used to think a lot about how to make a robotic lawn mower. I always had to push mow about an acre-sized lawn (it was big back then). I drew up plans and drawings but never made it to the construction phase. Then when I got older I started thinking about why humans could not travel at the speed of light. Einsten really frustrated me with his theories (I am a child of the Star Wars era). Then I started thinking about the folly of life (in a good way). There was a Shaman book I read that cued me into this and different aspects of perspective. It was fun but I became a little too complacent and had to refocus. Currently I think much more about the present. What am I currently doing (goals, projects etc)? What do I have control over (not like a control freak but more like thoughts and actions), and how happiness can occur in any number of situations (both personal but also a lot with the kids I work with). In the spring and summer I think about what I'm going to do with all this time off in the summer. I have a 1500 gallon koi pond so think a lot about my fish and if they are going to be attacked by heron. It gets one just about every year. Damn nature and your food chain!

I go out with teachers for happy hour. After that maybe a disco nap (or a long nap) and out with friends or solo to see a local band, movie, dinner or chillin out on the deck. Sometimes hanging out and watching Bill Maher.

Last summer I videotaped and photographed arboreal orbweavers mating on this huge web in my backyard. These were some pretty cool large spiders. Of course the female was the larger and much prettier one.
