My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
On a good day I've been told I'm a very geeky and happy guy, who likes technology, punk-rock music, chilling out and enjoys meeting people in small doses.

On a bad day, I dislike binge drinking, drinkers and drinkerettes but don't mind going to the pub sometimes - in which case I drink Guinness.

Scotland has been home for many years, and is the subject of many stories to tell for ears who listen. The weather is obviously the reason I dropped anchor: the sunrises and sunsets in Scotland cannot be find anywhere else! :(

Going places where people can have a meaningful conversation rather than nodding at each other is bliss – and so are concerts, although I kind-of retired from the mosh pit.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Playing my guitars, picking up and putting down weights at the gym, getting scorched at the sauna, writing semi-incomprehensible code at a keyboard, enjoying the sights from a hilltop, movies on Netflix, computer games, the usual stuff!
It'd be nice to have somebody else to share it all with.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
So many things… only one way to find out!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My Very Smiley or Very Disappointed face, or my accent?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
The lord of the rings; The hobbit
A hundred years of solitude
Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance
The god delusion
The cathedral and the bazaar
Is belief in god good, bad (religion) or irrelevant?

Movies and shows:
Any Monty Python movie. If only they made more.
A beautiful mind; Pulp Fiction; Any Tarantino's movie
TV series: 24, The Wire, Lost, CSI, NCIS, Persons Unknown, Criminal minds; recently "discovered" and loving South Park.
2001 Space Odyssey, Moon, other sci-fi movies that make one think (yes, that includes INCEPTION and Fight Club)
REC, SAW, Paranormal Activity; other horror movies: love horror movies.

Live, possibly, and from a good band!

Oldish punk-rock/ska; Bad Religion; Ramones, The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Mr. T Experience, early Green Day, NoFX, Lagwagon, Me first and the gimme gimmes, Millencolin, No Use For A Name, Even In Blackouts, Incubus, The Levellers, and whatever stuff I've picked up over the years. I don't mind other music, of course, as long as it's not R&B or that sort of misogynist crap; dancing === nails scratching on blackboard.

Stir fry, chilli. Easy, whole and comfortable food. I do _not_ eat anything out of the sea. Period. Yuck. As of late, I'm on a ketogenic diet and enjoying the food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Tea/Coffee, activity and rest. Once in a while, a good enjoyable hike takes care of that: yummy beverage while enjoying the views from a mountaintop. Else, the gym - but I'm no cardio bunny.
Music and radio, priceless when walking. Ever walked through the City Centre listening to Pennywise or NIN? Shaves 5 mins off the schedule, although people may think you're out to get them. I usually am not.
Technology, and the little details about it. It's an interesting castle of cards really, but I do enjoy working and playing with it.
True friends, but most of them are thousands of miles away. Luckily I still visit them once in a while.
A backpack, for when the outdoors call and one must answer!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What new things have I learned today. Possibly *useful* things.
Distilling knowledge into understandable chunks.
Learning more, and practising and experimenting with new things.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At the gym, having a wee cycle or strength training followed by sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room to unwind from the week! Picking things up and putting them down can be quite refreshing, and endorphins are *good*!
Then, most likely home, having a lovely dinner and watching a couple movies on netflix. More rarely, cinema or a concert.
Or in a quiet pub, good Guinness and good company to chat with (no loud music then!), then a pub is fine. Once in a while.
If the internet is down, relaxing playing older punk-rock tunes on my guitar, Janet and taking good vapes off some exotic blend of e-liquid.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I haven't yet tasted marshmallows on a fire, despite having been in the Boy Scouts for 15+ years... and I played rhythm guitar in a Scorpions cover band. To my defense, I was 15 or so.
