I'm grateful for the educational opportunities that shaped my world. I went to a Montessori school growing up (except for the year my mom moved us to Ireland for kicks). Middle school was set on a farm. I developed an evaporative pond waste treatment system as a 13 year-old, this was geometry, engineering, botany, ecology, and leadership all rolled into one incredibly empowering applied educational experience.
I started swimming competitively when I was six. I was good at it. When I became the best person on my local YMCA team, I moved to a new team and worked my way back to the top. I did this 5 times until I was an All-American at Stanford.
I studied neuroscience in college and worked closely with my advisor on a couple of papers that were published shortly after I graduated. My research experience guides my approach to building new businesses in a hypothesis-driven and human-centric way.
I'm more and less serious than this description portrays. I joke around and laugh a LOT ... but I take some things way too seriously.
I am large, I contain multitudes.
