I am ravishing, dreamy, and classic.

My Self-Summary

Despite what okCupid says, I'm a nerd. I read a lot and I enjoy it. I like music. Rjd2, Coldplay, U2, the Cure, Etta James, Henry Mancini, and so on. I like to read fiction mostly. Stuff like Vonnegut and Mahfouz. Harlan Ellison's "The Man Who Rowed Christopher Colombus Ashore" is one of the best short stories I've read. I love spontaneous, goofy, crazy, colorful things and people. And I hate to stay on the same topic for too long. I'm a little bit wild sometimes, but also like to chill at home.

I got out of a long relationship a while ago and am ready to get up and try all over again. I'm a romantic and I'd like to be swept off my feet. Preferably by someone with a sense of humor and that can fall in love with my inherent wackiness.

What I’m doing with my life

Writing a book, school, learning to sew, learning to crochet, learning French, and other exciting things.

I’m really good at

Sarcasm. Ok, actually, I'm really BAD at sarcasm. I'm always asking people who make sarcastic comments, "Really? Are you serious?!" I'm just that gullible.

However, I am really good at kissing. Kissing is important.

The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes or my smile. I smile a lot and love to be complimented on my laugh. Make a mental note of that for the future.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

books- The Sirens of Titan-Vonnegut, The Time-Traveler's Wife-Niffenegger, One Hundred Years of Solitude-Marquez, The Harafish-Mahfouz... and more more more. I like character driven, fantastic stories.

movies - Happy Accidents, Amelie, The Devil's Backbone, The Science of Sleep, and A Very Long Engagement. I just saw the Ladykillers and it was gorgeous. Brilliant, even.

music-Coldplay, U2, Zero 7, rjd2, mancini, ella, etta, JOURNEY!, Atmosphere, and more more more

The six things I could never do without

Deep - Love, Confidence, Literature, Knowledge, Spontaneity, and Humor

[and]

Shallow - sex, lingerie, shoes, clothing, toiletries, and indoor plumbing

I spend a lot of time thinking about

stories

On a typical Friday night I am

Reading, online, writing, or spending money I should be saving.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Pssshhhh! Well, actually, I almost lost my baby toe while dumpster diving (long, sad story). I sliced it halfway off and it wasn't pretty. But I got an awesome doctor. I think it's a miracle because it was at one of those quick care places and he didn't even look thirty. And then I took out my own stitches. I don't know why you'd care, but I told it anyway.

I also sing really loud and obnoxiously in the car. And talk on my cell phone a lot when I drive. I'm a bad girl, I know.

You should message me if

You're sweet, funny, fun-loving.

Oh, and if you read (you know, books and stuff) or appreciate art, that is always a plus.

Oh, and if you DO message me, please don't ask me what I do. It gets tiresome to talk about. Thanks.
