My name is Oliver, I'm 26 and I live in Cardiff Bay. I'm originally
from Ferryside in west wales, which is a nice seaside village near
Carmarthen. Most people are surprised when I say I'm from west
wales as I really don't have an accent.
If I had to describe myself, I would describe myself as friendly, honest, funny, loyal and caring. I am a laid back person and I always manage to get on well with most people. I'm reasonably intelligent and would say I'm quite knowledgable on a variety of topics, so I always have plenty to say! I have a really good sense of humour and would say it's quite a big part of my personality. I'm also a little bit of a wind up merchant, but I always laugh at myself too and I generally try to see the funny side in most situations. I have a great circle of close friends who I enjoy meeting up with every so often for evenings out, usually we would be dining out, going to concerts/live music events or just for going for some drinks in town.
Music is the biggest part of my life as I work as a freelance musician. I really love the work that I do and it has given me the opportunity to perform all over the UK and abroad. I've performed on the radio, tv and I've also played on some soundtracks for various tv programmes. I do some private teaching (music) and sometimes do some adjudicating which I really enjoy. Being freelance I quite often have a lot of free time, so I also work part time which keeps me busy and provides me with a safety net.
As for my interests, I'm interested in history and I enjoy watching documentaries and sometimes I enjoy visiting museums and other places of interest. I like real ales and sometimes I enjoy brewing my own beer, although I haven't done it for a few years. I also really like single malt whiskies, I have some favourites and I'm know a bit about the various regions where they are distilled in Scotland, my favourite region being Speyside. I enjoy attending concerts as well as performing in them, it can be really nice to listen rather than perform sometimes. I like travelling and I've visited some really interesting places, my favourite being Iceland. I enjoy going out for long walks sometimes, especially costal areas. Occasionally I enjoy a night out with friends, but I don't do it so much anymore now I'm no longer a student. I do still enjoy meeting up with my friends though. I really dislike football, so girls I will never subject you to that on the tv! I'll watch other sports sometimes, but I'm not overly interested.
As for what I'm looking for, I have no specific type. But what I am looking for is someone really nice who is interested in me. I want to chat a bit, meet up/spend time together and take things slowly, I want us to really get to know each other and see where things go.
