My self-summary Propose an edit

Hi there. I’m originally from Columbus, OH, but have lived in Bloomington now for about 5 years. It’s a great town and I like all of the different restaurants and cultural events they have around. I’m also a big fan of the state parks and lakes in the area…I like hiking and sailing and a lot of other water sports. I like sports in general – I’ll try just about anything, but really like lacrosse and tennis. I love watching college football and basketball…yes, even the Hoosiers when they’re down.  I like being outside a lot and it works out well that I have two dogs who love going for walks. I am definitely a dog lover…always have been. I like going out for drinks every once in a while, but really enjoy getting friends together to grill out or watch a movie. I also like to cook – I may not be the best at it, but it’s fun to try! I love to laugh and joke around and am looking forward to getting to know someone who shares similar interests.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I work in education and really enjoy that atmosphere. I like college towns - I think they offer a lot of cultural/educational opportunities and a great energy. When I'm not working my 8-5 job I work on my other passion, which is photography. It's nice to have the ability to do both. I'm a happy person and try to surround myself with positive people and things. I try not to stress about things if I can help it...life's too short. I have a goal of trying to visit all 50 states in the US - actually visit...not just a layover at an airport. I'm probably about halfway there - so I still have a little ways to go. I'm in no rush to get it done, but in the meantime it's fun to think about.

Usually, the first thing that people notice about me is that I'm really friendly - but, in a way I'm also a little shy. I'm definitely an introvert - not the hermit kind where all you want to do is be by yourself at home...I love being around people, but I regain my energy and all that by having a little bit of quite time every now and then. I try to be nice to everyone and hope that in turn, people give me the same kind of respect. I try not to judge. You are who you are and if you're not doing anything to hurt others, have at it. I'm both creative and logical. I love creating art - usually photography...but, if you ask me why I'm doing something, there's typically always a reason why...crazy, I know.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

My favorite books of all time are probably Roots and The Kite Runner - but I love to read and like a lot of different kinds of books.

My favorite movies - okay, I have to admit...one of my favorites has to be Clue - it's hilarious! I also love Crash, Best in Show, The Goonies, Hitch, House of Sand and Fog...again, all different kinds.

Not surprisingly I like most music, too - I'm a big fan of early 90's hip-hop, but also love Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews, Maroon 5... I've never been that big into country, heavy metal, or hard core rap.

As far as food goes - I pretty much like simple... I like pasta, mexican, traditional american - things like that.

I could never do without... My family, my dogs, friends, my camera equipment, my photographs, music (listening to, not playing).
