My self-summary
Oh, I don't know... Some random things perhaps. I grew up on a farm in a tiny town in Vermont. As a teenager I traveled to as many places as I could to see what the rest of the world was like. I eventually landed in NYC after college. I loved NYC for many years. I grew to hate it and moved to the West Coast for adventure, a new beginning, and some sun. I like it. I am an atheist. I am a terrible speller. I like to read. I love to write. I love movies. I hate cable news cycles. In fact I hate television in general with many amazing exceptions. But I'm happy living with no cable. I like to work out. I love to eat. I hate the Pacific vortex. I love horror movies. I love mysteries.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer. I write movies and television projects. Comedies, horror, thriller, night time soap, half-hour comedy, documentaries.

I spend my free time going to the gym, bootcamp, yoga, seeing movies, going to house parties with friends, going to see concerts, the Hollywood Bowl, being alone.
I’m really good at
Writing. Scrabble. Typing fast. Eating. Playing the guitar really badly. Singing off-key. Procrasturbating.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Veep, Orphan Black, ENLIGHTENED. Best shows on TV.

Lions in Red Weather. Awesome novel.

Bjork in concert. Pretty friggin' incredible.

Can't wait for the new Woody Allen this summer.

Anything by Woody Allen or Kurt Vonegut, mango, nutella, Margaret Atwood, Chinatown, North By Northwest, La Dolce Vita, The Big Lebowski, Jurassic Park, peanut butter and banana sandwiches, Prince, Annie Lennox, Agatha Christie -- but not so much Ms. Marple -- more the genius of Monsieur Poirot, The Beastie Boys, Clue, Beck, Heathers, Belle & Sebastian, The Last Picture Show, Slings & Arrows, Arrested Development, The Comeback, The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman, amazing pizza, spinach, organic cheese, Bjork, The Cure, Lilly Allen, foie gras, amazing fish, The White Ribbon, Tootsie, Halloween, Belle & Sebastian, The Shining, Rushmore, The Bluest Eye, Naked Lunch, Nashville, What's up Doc? The Trouble with Harry, strawberries, feta, Bad Education, Crimes and Misdemeanors, 12th Night, Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolfe? Inglorious Basterds, tuna salad, Downton Abbey, VEEP, So You Think You Can Dance, Episodes, and many other things that I will come back to as I remember...
The six things I could never do without
I could do without almost anything except the obvious: My health, my friends, my writing, exercise, good movies, dinner parties.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the way the world is changing. The things I can't wrap my head around. How to write about things that are relevant and that people actually experience. I try to figure out what really matters to me. I try to figure out what doesn't matter to me. I think about swimming a lot. I love to swim if the water is warm. Right now, I'm thinking about how private I keep my thoughts and how everyone is reading what I'm thinking about....
On a typical Friday night I am
...either having dinner with or cooking dinner with friends, or going to a concert or a movie, or going to see a movie in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery...'cause that's REALLY fun. And often lounging on my couch.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm kind of a cat person... (but also love dogs)

You should message me if
...if you've made it this far and I don't seem totally wrong for you...or, if you think we're TERRIBLE for each other, but you think I'm cute anyway.
