I am silly, lazy, and a bit shy.

My Self-Summary

I enjoy silly music and dancing. I also love cooking and eating. I can spend a bit too much time thinking about my job, but when I'm not I also like reading, walking and watching films.
I like plants - looking at them, growing them and eating (some of) them, though as plants are part of my job I don't find them as relaxing as I used to!

What I’m doing with my life

Trying to make myself better!
I'm studying counselling at the moment, which I'm really enjoying although it's hard work and I'm pretty scared about being let lose on the public as a trainee counsellor!
I'm also trying to make sure that I keep having fun and seeing my friends, as I have some really top-banana friends.

I’m really good at

Being silly.

The first things people usually notice about me

The smell. No, it's not really that bad. I was being silly. Partly because ok cupid has given me a 'sloppy' stamp on my personality. It is true that I am very messy and probably spend less time preening myself than is average, but I wonder if I have also earned that badge because I don't shave. Not shaving is partly because it is really a boring way to spend my life, but also because I refuse to put money into an industry whose goal is to make people feel inferior and rubbish so they buy stuff.
I don't really know what thing people first notice about me. That I like wearing brightly coloured tights? My glasses?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Tove Janson is my comfort reading, always like a bit of Philip K Dick. Just read Schrodiger's cat trilogy, it was awesome. Also recently read trumpet by Jackie Kay, also awesome. Like to dip in and out of Dale Pendell's Pharmoko- books quite regularly. I do enjoy reading non-fiction too, but I don't do it as much as I would if I was better.
Ivor cutler, Swans. Anything a bit silly or a bit horrible. Bass is important. Used to be a lot more into music and travel around all over to watch various kinds of punk bands (my few white girl dreadlocks are a relic of these crusty punk days), but now I am too old and grumpy. Mostly if I go to gigs I feel disgusted by the young people having fun. Tend to go to bigger gigs than I used to, recently I very much enjoyed seeing the Bug at the Warehouse project.
Vegan treats is what I eats. I love most kinds of food really. Now it's winter I'm all about the pies and roasts.

The six things I could never do without

Red shoes.
Balsamic vinegar.
My friends.
Cats.
My glasses.
Something to worry about.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The best colour for gingham.

On a typical Friday night I am

Wishing I had gone somewhere but getting stuck in front of the TV, drinking beer with my housemates.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

That I was actually born in the south of England. Not a lot of people get to know that at first.

You should message me if

I wouldn't message me really because I am only really on here to look at it and play quizzes. More here for friends really (to find new ones and be amazed at the amount of old and new ones are on here too!)
